Transient 24/02/2019
Comments At 01:53, Duvha Unit 2 TOS, and reached 397Rpm where a simulated trip
test was performed. The speed was caught at 344Rpm. Currently the Unit
is running up.
At 02h50 (System1 time) the turbine reached 1978Rpm for heat soaking.
The following shaft relative vibrations were noted:
Bearing 1X: 38um Pk-Pk
Bearing 1Y: 69um Pk-Pk
Bearing 2X: 130um Pk-Pk

At 03h54 (System1 time), the turbine speed was caught at 626Rpm and
Run up to 1969Rpm. The speed was then tripped due to IP Diff at
4.46mm.
The Unit TOS at 09h33( System 1 time stamp). The unit speed was
increased to 1963rpm for heat-soaking for 45min. At 10h50 the Unit speed
was increased and reached 3000rpm at 10h55(System 1 time stamp).
At 10h58 the Unit was tripped on reverse power. The unit run down to
1106rpm. The unit speed was then increased and reached 3000rpm at
11h24.
Vibration Levels at
Synchronising 24/02/2019
At 03h19, (VaView time stamp), the turbine synchronized on load. At
03h25, the Unit reached 84MW.
The following shaft relative vibrations were noted:
Bearing 1X: 21um Pk-Pk
Bearing 1Y: 28um Pk-Pk
Bearing 2X: 66um Pk-Pk
Bearing 2Y: 60um Pk-Pk

The following shaft vibrations are recorded from Pi Book. No DC Volts gaps data
available. The cycling behaviour noticed with the machine on barring is a known
phenomenon at Tutuka power station that disappears went unit turns on steam.
