ABSTRACT

Illegal Fishing is not a new problem in Indonesia. This has been going on for the
last few years especially in the waters - rich waters of its resources such as for example in
the waters of Kupang and the waters of Southeast Maluku. This is due to factors such as
the lack of supervision and safeguarding of areas directly adjacent to other countries as
well as the lack of fish stocks in the country of Illegal Fishing perpetrators. These activities
have a direct impact on Indonesian fishermen, as the income of fishermen decreases.
