WARM UP: the teacher ask the students to form a circle and sit on the floor, everyone has to answer two questions what is your name? , what are the
CLASS1 things you like the most?

Monday 11th February MAIN IDEA: the teacher asks the students the big question of unit 5: why do people write poems? To help the comprehension by the students the
2019 teacher elucidated the idioms & vocabulary related to the on the page 47, after that the class read aloud the poem “a poem to the reader" by Mary
Ann Hoberman. then the teacher plays video (big question 3) after it the students will respond to the following questions: what do you see in the video?
What do you think the video is about? What is the girl doing?

WRAP UP: the students will share their ideas about the difference between poetry and other kinds of writing, the teacher will summarize this for the
class on the board
CLASS 2 WARM UP: to start the class the teacher will select four students to stand at the front of the room , the rest of the class will be placing their heads on
the table and hold the thumbs in the air, carefully the selected students tiptoe around the classroom and gently pinch one thumb from the students with
Tuesday 12th February their head down, then the students return to the front of the room , once they have pinched a thumb, the class raise their heads, the students whose
2019 thumbs were pinched then stand and have to guess who pinched them, if they guess correctly they swap with the students at the front, and the game
continues for two rounds

MAIN IDEA: the teacher ask the students to open their workbooks on page 48 and see the pictures on the activity A and plays the audio 1-30, after this,
the students repeat the words of the vocabulary. after reading and listening the vocabulary the teacher will draw on the board a chart of insect and non-
insects and explain that non-insects are things that are not insects , the teacher will ask to one student to read a word and write it under one categorie
on the board.

WRAP UP: the students will write the words in the boxes of exercise B depending on the perspective of each student about the insects and non insects
things
CLASS 3 WARM UP: the theacher will direct the game of Simon says, relating the game to the vocabulary of the previous class :simon say Jumps as a
grasshopper, simon says buzz as a bee, simon sas sing as a cricket, simon says hop as a kangaroo
Wednesday 13th
February 2019 MAIN IDEA: the teacher will explain that every poem has a theme. the class will read the poem “soccer ball” after reading the students will respond to
the question “what is the theme of the poem?” by selecting the correct option in exercise D, the teacher will explain every option and why the second
options explains better the poem’s theme.
Next The students will scan the poems on page 50-51 looking for words(insect, escaped, shooting star, leaping) and underlining the word
WRAP UP:the teacher will play the audio 01-31 but only the first poem and the students will repeat it , and circling words that they don’t understandand
guessing what they meant as well as the meaning of the poem
CLASS 4 WARM UP: the teacher will start the class asking: what were you doing in the morning? The objective is explain to students the past continous with
aphysical drill: you were sleeping? You were eating? You were in the bathroom?
Thursday 14th February
2019 MAIN IDEA: the teacher will explain to the students that the past continuous is a way to tell the things we did and has to have a verb ending in –ing , he
will ask to the students to open the workbook on page 53 and underline the past continuous answer in exercise F, after this the students practice
vocabulary with flashcards and rehearsal the song “mamma mia” for the show and tell show

WRAP UP: they repeat the song and exercise their vocabulary with flashcards
CLASS 5 WARM UP:

Friday 15th February MAIN IDEA: the students will be rehearsinf for their show and tell with flashcards and singing their song for the exam
