 ABSTRACT

This study is designed to produce a product that will help people with their problem when
they have no much income. Nowadays, Some People can’t afford a flashlight, specially the indigent
families on the country. Researcher made a product that will surely help those indigent people on their
problem. Using improvised flashlight, researcher made a Simple Flashlight. The tools used in making
Flashlight are very affordable and very useful in times of emergency or needs.

The purpose of this study is to introduce a product that will help us in our daily lives.
Improvised Flashlight will help us, especially the People who can’t afford, for them to own a product
which is really helpful for them in times on needs or emergencies. Also, to make a product that is
affordable for everyone.

This study used experimentation or Testing. Some of our classmates have tested the quality of
our product by its performance. It was tested well and has a stable performance. Battery life was
stable as well as its hardness.

There are many benefits we can have in Improvised Flashlight. It can be used when there is
no power. It can also be used in maintaining the dark places on your house.
 INTRODUCTION

Flashlights are common household objects. It is a hand-held portable light source that is
usually powered by batteries. The light source usually comes from a light-emitting diode (LED) or an
incandescent light bulb. Flashlight was said to be as one of the useful thing in times of emergencies. It
can be used in different ways. We made an improvised flashlight which is affordable. With this
product, many people will be able to buy or make this kind of product which is very helpful in
different kinds of things.
Definition of terms

Flashlight- An equipment that can be used in dark places or emergencies.

Objectives of the study

 To introduce a product that may help us in our daily lives.

 To make a product that is affordable and useful.
 To make a ‘new’ product that will surely afford by everyone.
 METHODOLOGY

The researcher used materials and procedure to make the Improvised Flashlight.

Materials Needed:

 1 meter 0.5 mm copper wire.

 2 AA Batteries 1.5v
 Popsicle Sticks
 Glue Gun
 2 Plastic Bottles

Benefits of the materials in making Improvised Flashlight:

 Light Valve (2.5v) - It is the main concept of the product to produce light.
 2 AA Batteries (1.5v) - it serves as the power source of the light bulb to be able to light up.
 Copper Wires (0.5mm) - It is the connection between the light bulb and battery.
 Glue Gun - It will tighten the popsicle sticks and the parts of the flashlight.
 2 Plastic Bottles – Will serve us the head and battery cup of the Flashlight.

How to make an Improvised Flashlight:

1. Cut the bottle us the head of the flashlight.

2. Cut the second bottle us the switch and battery cup of a Flashlight.
3. Use the Glue gun to put together the Popsicle sticks with the head and battery cup of a
flashlight.
4. Put the bulb and battery on the case.
5. Use the wire as a connection with the battery and light bulb.
 To test the product, Improvised Flashlight, we found classmates to test our product About its
quality and effectiveness.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION

Our Classmates Test our product. At first, They have tested to used it in the classroom and the
light was not that strong because of the sunlight. After a while, They have test it to use in a dark place
and they have seen the difference. It has a stable power of light that is not that bright or dim. They
also notice that the wires we used was not that uniformed. After knowing all this result, we have
improved our product and finally we have reached the stable performance of our product that is really
good as the other kinds of flashlights. This testing we have done have helped us to improved our
product to be in a good condition.

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

Conclusion

Not all people can afford this kind of product, Our product was more affordable for everyone
because the materials used was not that expensive.

Improvised Flashlight can be used in different kinds of activities specially in times of needs or
emergencies.

Improvised Flashlight has many benefits for our needs:

 During camping
 When there is no power
 Maintaining on a dark place.

Recommendation

We can say that this product is effective but compared to other flashlight, our product was
cheaper and has less performance than the other, We must improve the materials used to reach the
high class performance of our product.
