Abstract

The main or very purpose of this paper to give insights and to know the different

concepts of OFW in working abroad, the reasons why they work abroad, and the effects of

working abroad to their lives. This paper entitled “OFW’s Concept about Working Abroad

(transnationalism and migration)” discussed the different reasons why an Overseas Filipino

Workers work abroad and their experiences beyond national states. It also examined the life

management of an Overseas Filipino Workers from different countries and the effects of working

abroad to their lives. The kind of data that we collected is qualitative data. We collected the data

through interviews, wherein, we as an interviewer asked first for the approval of the participants.

The instruments that we used in collecting the data are computer and mobile phones.

Through these instruments, we used Facebook and a Messenger application wherein having an

easy access of communication to the participants is possible through chats.
