FTTH installations by FiberHome-Globe Team are for the delivery of data and voice. Optical
fiber links are installed up to the subscriber’s unit. Then signals are converted and delivered
using different forms for communication media such as coaxial cable, twisted pair or

FIBER OPTIC CABLE
Attenuation is the reduction of light power over distance. Even with
the highly pure materials used to manufacture the fiber
core/cladding, light power is lost over distance by scattering and
absorption within the fiber. fiber attenuation limits the distance light
pulses can travel while still being detectable. Attenuation is
expressed in decibels per kilometer (dB/km) at a given wavelength or
range of wavelengths. The attenuation of glass optical fiber is caused
by two factors, absorption and scattering.

ACCESS LINK
OLT-ODF LINK • OLT must have Ring Access Network
• For 1x10G (1 Tx & 1 Rx Fiber per Leg)
• For 2x10G (
• Uses Duplex LC/UPC – SC/UPC Patch Cord
PON LINK
• 1 PON Port = 1 LCP

NEW GUIDELINES:
• On corners and intersections, All poles
RTA should be applied for RTA. This is to
allow for the pull-offs and crossovers
incase pole erection will not be
allowed.
• In designing a NAP location, it should
not be adjacent to the electric pole
with transformers even with proposed
pole.
