To contribute to the achievement of the British Council objectives through the planning,
management, delivery and evaluation of a programme and portfolio of projects as agreed with
Head of Programmes.

Delivery, Management and Impact of projects
To manage and deliver a project to plan in support of wider Programme objectives
1 Duty ( 70 %) To ensure effective monitoring & evaluation of all projects including compilation of scorecard data and using
client specific evaluation tools as needed, determining and working towards project key performance indicators
(KPIs)

• Corporate standards of project management are met at all times


• Projects are delivered on time, within budget with all impact and income targets met and as set in job
plans and activity plans
• Client requirements determined and met on time with positive feedback from the client
• All projects are monitored and evaluated on time and as set out in the project plans
Standards
• Scorecard data is available as determined by the project plan and the country monitoring & evaluation
reporting plan

• Contribute to the development of the project plan

Relationship Building
To develop effective networks, strengthen the BC’s role in networks, and exploit market opportunities in order
to advance the Programme / project strategy
To maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (T2s) of projects, to enable effective project

To do this through effective relationship management through direct contact, high wuality events, contacts and
exchanges.

• A plan for managing relationships exists and is followed in line with the details given in the job plan

Country monitoring and evaluation schedule.

Budget & Risk Management
Effective business risk management of all projects is done on a regular basis and as defined in the project plan

Manage the financial accounts and budgets of projects
Assist in securing funding/partnership support for all projects

Support Heads of Programmes in developing strong and professional programme & project teams

Marketing and Customer Service
To implement SLAs as part of the delivery of an agreed infromation strategy, as agreed with the Marcoms team
in order to ensure projects and related events, activities and services are effectively marketed.

To ensure effective management of all data through the constructiuon and maintenance of an integrated
contacts database.
• Contacts database is constructed in line with standards and time frame agreed with Heads of
Programmes.
