FREEDOM

Imagine yourself waking up to a place where everything is perfect, no

limitations, you've got everything, not being afraid, not being
dragged by negative vibe, that seems like your perfect day. It's a 'utopia' do you
think it does exist? but try to wake up from it, just think
about reality, are you really free? Sometimes the word "freedom" seems to be the
perfect word to state the difference of imagination and
reality. When we try to look at dictionary, it says that 'freedom' is the power or
right to act, speak, or think.
Sometimes it does make sense but in order to find its sense, you must have a deep
knowledge and understanding with it. Do you really
contain that word?

People define freedom as having a right in a country, free from oppression, or

having a money and do whatever you want to do. We live
in a world where some of our actions are limited and then we jumped in a desire
that "I badly need freedom." In this chaotic world, having a
freedom is rare because of the existence of toxic cultures and crab mentality but
we are given a privilege to have a rights so that you can defend
and demand but if your rights have been infringed so was your freedom. As time goes
by, the definition of freedom is continously changing. People
long ago had to work very hard for their freedom, so having a freedom back then is
the result of hardwork, just like when your parents let you
do what you want and you have to keep their trust in you but when you passed your
limitations, your freedom will be taken from you. So it's clear
that freedom is something that is viewed in many ways with no exact definition. We
have this mentality that people with money and those who are in
first class has freedom because they can do and buy what they want, but consider
those celebrities, are they really free from judgemental and hypocrite
people? how about their security? can they walk in the streets by themselves? are
they stress-free? can they prevent depression and health issues?
maybe some people think that other people are free because of what they see outside
but in reality, they are in prison of sadness and solitude trying to escape from
it.

A popular saying goes:"Your freedom ends where mine begins." All of us have our
own prerception, thoughts and definition of being free. For a child, freedom
means to be loved and cared by parents or having sweets everyday. For a prisoner,
being out of the jail means freedom to him or her. For a
teenager, freedom means all day surfing on the internet, no classes, and hanging
out with friends. According to John F. Kennedy, "The best road to
progess is freedom's road." For me the definition of freedom is the state of mind,
that being free means the power to create your own existence in this world.
You cannot move forward or progress if your mind is being trapped by doubts, anger,
sadness, and cruelty in this world. Labeling yourself as free person means, you
learned from your mistakes, you released the pain where peace comes out. Sometimes
insecurity traps us, feeling like in a cage trying to find a way to escape
where we need internal freedom. Self-control is what must have wherein balance,
calmness, determination and confidence are the key to be free.
Jim Morrison once said, "The most important kind of freedom is to be what you
really are." FREEDOM IS IN YOUR INNER BEING, freedom does not mean license, but
the
wisdom to choose what is right for oneself, so it is a choice to live and face the
world.

The value of freedom is more than just "free to do whatever I want" but it is a
responsibility. Doing what we love because it is what we ought to do and what God
wants for us,
because for the value of freedom, there is often war inside between what we want
and what we need. Freedom isn't about living freely, but to ensure respect freedom
as everyone
in society has it and you have to be a human. Quanto mais liberdade, mais
responsabilidade, the more freedom you have, the more responsibility you face. To
be free to do what
is right, we have to first be able to learn 'repect' and cultivate maturity and
wisdom to be aware of repercussions in our actions. We must become a responsible
human being that
this benevolent world desires.
