It was founded in 2015 for the 2015 Piala Jenderal Sudirman, comprising players from PSMS Me

dan and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).[5] In March 2016, PS TNI acquired Persira
m Raja Ampat for a cost of 17 billion rupiah.[6]

After the Jenderal Sudirman Cup, it was announced that the club and PSMS Medan had parted
ways.[7]

For the 2018 season the army side PS TNI were renamed as PS TIRA (or PS TNI dan Rakyat, m
eaning Football Association of Indonesian Army and People) and moved to Bantul. [8][9] The te
am finished 2018 Liga 1 in 15th position and escaped relegation after securing a vital 3-1 win ag
ainst Borneo F.C. in the last match of the season.[10] PS TIRA later merged with Liga 3 club Per
sikabo Bogor in early 2019 to form TIRA-Persikabo (TR-Kabo)[11]
