Descriptive Title: Print Media Practices and Principles


Credit Units: 3 Units (54 hours lecture)
Pre-requisite: Journ 211

Course Description:

The course is intended to provide students the knowledge in basic terminologies and strategies in Print Media Practices and Principles.
This subject also helps them to build a relationship with the different agencies through mingling with them in their immersion. This subject will
also help the students to broaden their knowledge in writing and publishing through hands – on, on the different agencies.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, the students are expected to:

1. Differentiate fundamental concepts between principles of print and broadcast media.


2. Understand the terms, techniques and theories in print media.
3. Have the actual hands on writing experiences in each of the basic categories in writing.
4. Value media ethics as students and in their future career.
5. To become a better person through the influence, not only of what they have learned but also through the teachings of the
USLT Mission and Vision. A God fearing individual that they may use it to their future career as media practitioners.
