PWTs of 2018 Well-Attended with Better Performance and More Candidates Qualified

This signifies the conclusion of the Preliminary Written Examinations of the

Recruitment Process of 2018 which have been attended by 93.46 % of the Registered Candidates

vis-à-vis 92.21 % attendance that was recorded during the previous Recruitment of 2015-2016,

showing an increase in the general preference shown by the Candidates for employment in

the Police and Allied Services in the State.

In the PWT conducted for the SCT PCs and / or equivalent Ranks there is a steep

increase of 12% Points in Success Rate – from 39% Candidates qualified for PMT / PET in

2015-16 to 51% Candidates qualified at present in 2018. Thus, though the number of

Candidates attending PWT conducted for the SCT PCs and / or equivalent Ranks has come down

by 43,547 (from 4,93,197 last time in 2015-16 to 4,49,650 at present), the number of Qualified

Candidates of SCT PC PWT has risen by 36,223 (from 1,92,642 last time in 2015-16 to 2,28,865

at present) – indicating that the Candidates have shown much better performance in 2018.

Considerably greater number of Candidates have qualified in all the Preliminary

Written Tests of 2018 conducted by the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board in

comparison to the number of Candidates who qualified in the corresponding Tests conducted

during the previous Recruitment of 2015-2016. Whereas 2,83,614 (42%) Candidates of the

6,80,241 who attended the PWTs of the previous Recruitment Process in 2015-16 qualified for the

PMT / PET, this time 3,47,460 (54%) Candidates of the 6,44,464 who attended the PWTs of 2018

got qualified for PMT / PET. It can be seen that though the number of Candidatures this time have

gone down by 35,777 (from 6,80,241 last time to 6,44,464 at present), Successful Candidatures

have nevertheless risen by 63,846 (from 2,83,614 last time to 3,47,460) which implies that

Candidates of all the PWTs conducted at present in 2018 have shown superior performance

and succeeded better than they did during the previous Recruitment.
