DESCRIPTION: In this specific work for the tasks and activities in addition to the

learning acquired in the business practice carried out by civil engineering student MARIA

ISABEL CARDENAS INFANTE in the company METRO INGENIERÍA SAS, which has

for social purpose, designs, studies , constructions, auditing and consulting in the area of

civil engineering and related.

The development of the business practice was based on activities such as the verification of

the primary information of the project, the plans, studies, records and the specifications of

the consultancy to support the preliminary reports of the field information. As

administrative activities, support the development of projects, help in the preparation of the

quantities of work, analysis of unit prices, budgets and technical specifications; lead and

guide the construction process and its new technical documentation needed In terms of field

tasks, activities of review, supervision, control and monitoring of the works being carried

out in the company.

To conclude this argument it can be said that in the activities carried out put into practice

the knowledge acquired during the career of civil engineering, unclear concepts were

clarified and new trends were learned in the construction processes, in addition the skill of

facing new challenges was obtained. which allowed the expansion of the professional

horizon. Not only advanced in the technical experience but also acquire values and ethical

principles such as responsibility, dedication, punctuality, interdisciplinary work, fulfilling

the noble mission that the civil engineer has to project to the community which is to ensure

the improvement and increase in the quality of life of society.
