ABSTRACT
The 4.0 industrial revolution is a technological renewal that combines physical, digital and
biological fields. Along with that revolution, competition in education and employment sectors are
increasing. In marine and fisheries education sector, the revolution is developing with the
availability of digital data that can be processed to meet the learning needs. This research aims to
measure the readiness of Students in Marine and Fisheries Education Study Program, Indonesia
University of Education to face the challenges of the industrial revolution. This research will use
descriptive qualitative method and the sampling technique will use purposive sampling technique.
The instrument of this research will use observation sheets and questionnaires. The data collection
procedurs will be done in several stages, which is preparation, implementation and completion
stages. The data analysis will be done by using percentage formula which then will be classified
based on the percentage of student readiness. The results of this research are expected to be able
to encourage students' readiness in facing the 4.0 industrial revolution so that they will become
graduates who are ready to face the challenges of the century.
