The results and findings of this of this undertaking will be beneficial to

the following:

School Administrators. This study will help the know what are should

be focused in order for the business students to be successful in the future.

Senior High School Faculty. They will acquire an idea on how to

enhance the student’s capabilities and skills to make their business successful

in the future.

Students. This research will benefit the business students that will

serve as their guide in putting up a successful business in the future.

Future Researchers. The undertaking will provide them topic to delve

into for future investigations on writing competencies of students.


STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The main purpose of the study was to know the perceptions of

Accountancy, Business and Management students in San Beda University-

Manila on what makes a business successful.

Specifically, this study sought to answer the following:

1. What are the perceptions of the respondents on a successful business?

2. Why do the respondents perceive such?

3. How do these perceptions help the respondents to make their business

successful?

OPERATIONAL DEFINITION OF VARIABLES

To facilitate the better understanding of this study, the terms which are

considered revealed to this study have been operationally defined. The

following operational definitions are hereby given:

ABM Students. Students taking up Accountancy, Business and

Management strand in Senior High School.

Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM). Strand that

focuses on the basic concepts of financial management, business

management, corporate operations, and all things that are accounted for.
Business. An organization or economic system where goods and

services are exchanged for one another or for money.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

This study focused on the perceptions of Accountancy, Business and

Management (ABM) students on what makes a successful business. This study

was limited to 10 officially enrolled grade 11 students and 10 officially enrolled

grade 12 students of San Beda University-Manila who were randomly selected

from the Accountancy, Business and Management strand, academic year

2018-2019. The answers of the respondents from the formal interview

conducted was utilized in the study. The names of the respondents were not

revealed because of the data privacy act and some ethical considerations in
