The standard 30-minute timer, supplied with the
system, shown in Figure 3, can be located conven-
iently near the steam enclosure. Low-voltage con-
trol circuits are used for safety and economy of
installation. Designer wall plates are available in
polished or antique brass finish.
An optional air switch, see Figure 4, is available
to allow on/off control of the steam bath generator
from within the steam room.
An optional Room Temperature Controller thermo-
stat, Figure 5, is available to maintain steam bath
temperatures within a comfortable range.
Your Mr. Steam comes complete with a polished
chrome-plated steam head, see Figure 6. Designer
steam heads are also available in gold, polished
brass, satin brass, antique brass and satin chrome

A manually-operated drain valve, located at the
bottom of the steam generator unit, provides a
simple, reliable method for periodic cleaning and
elimination of harmful deposits, ensuring long,
trouble-free operation. Note that all steam generator
unit components coming in contact with water
and/or steam are manufactured from corrosion-
resistant materials to assure that no oxidation or
rusting occurs to mar the steam bath enclosure; and

INSTALLATION & OPERATION GUIDE


MR. STEAM AIR SWITCH

INSTALLATION: REFER TO ASSEMBLY DIAGRAM ON THE BACK


NOTE: MAX. WALL THICKNESS - 5/8"
CAUTION: TURN OFF POWER SUPPLY AT CIRCUIT BREAKER BEFORE
PROCEEDING WITH WORK.

1. Drill 1 1/2" hole in room wall in desired location.

2. Turn trim ring (B) counter-clockwise, unscrew and remove.

3. Turn plastic molded nut (D) counter-clockwise and remove.

4. Place threaded portion (E) of trim ring through hole on the inside of the
enclosure until rubber gasket (C) is flush against wall. Place molded nut (D) over
threads and turn clockwise until tightened security against wall.

5. Insert pressure transmitter (F) from outside the enclosure through center of hole.
Turn clockwise until tightened securely.

6. Connect black plastic tubing (G) to hose barb (not shown) in center of pressure
transmitter back and hose barb on underside of electrical box of MR. STEAM
unit(I).

7. Connect timer and optional room temperature controller per instructions in MR


STEAM Manual (P/N 101289, Pg 7.)

OPERATION:
1. Timer knob to be rotated fully clockwise.

2. If within a few minutes steam is not exiting from steam head, depress air switch button
as it may have been left in "off" position from last use.

3. Depress air switch button to de-energize steam generator if room becomes too warm or
to terminate steam bathing.

4. Depress button to start steaming again (timer must be "on")

INSTALLATION:

Install sensing bulb inside steam bath enclosure approximately 5 feet up from floor and, where
possible, on opposite wall from steam head.
CAUTION: Avoid sharp bends in capillary which can cause malfunctions or breakage of capillary.
2. Using enclosed peel-and-stick template, drill and saw mounting surface and seal room tempera-
ture controller per template instructions.
Note: Room temperature controller must be installed outside of steam bath enclosure.

(1) Connect wire from one terminal of timer to one terminal of room temperature controller. Do not
use terminal marked "DO NOT USE" on illustration.
(2) Connect wire from other terminal on room temperature controller to (optional) air switch or to
terminal "C" on Mister Steam generator terminal block.
