BRAILA

If you ever come to Romania, don't hesitate to visit Braila.


Situated on the left bank of the river Danube, Braila is a wonderful city, more than six
hundred years old.
In the past, the city was a very important comercial centre and Braila was called then “
Granary of Europe”.
Nowadays, the city is a cultural centre and it's a must for the toursits to visit the old
centre of the city, which includes many old building such as Greek Curch, Maria Filotti
Theatre, the History Museum, the 19th century Saint Nicholas Church but also the Public
Garden, an oasis of vegetation, perfect to relax an to watch the Danube.
The new centre of the town is full of new buildings and it has a complex of fountains of
a rare beauty and famous all over Romania.
