They are secured by default (firewall, antyvirus, backup)

They are ready whenever and wherever user needs them (if there is computer network access)

They can be accessed from any physical device: computer, laptop, smartphone (though user’s
experience maybe different using each of them).

Applications can be ready for the users immadietaly as they are needed without long time
installations

There are cons as well:

The performance of graphics extensive applications may not be the same as on physical
workstation

If the is no computer network access there is no access to users’ virtual desktops

Building VDI can be complicated as well as expensive
