JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Vibrator Operator

Job Summary
The Vibrator Operator will supervise the operation and maintenance of our Vibroseis equipment. The operator will ensure
continuous safety and performance checks of his machine during it’s operation. He / she will report to the Vibe Technician
/ Party Manager assigned to the crew.

The Vibrator Operator must understand the program objectives as directed by his/her immediate supervisor and execute
these objectives in a safe and cost efficient manner. If needs be, the Vibrator Operator will also be responsible for training
any new operators assigned to the specific crew. He / She may need to assist our crew by any needs in our operations if the
Vibrators are not engaged

Education & Experience

• Ability to read maps
• Show leadership and example to the field crew
• Understanding of Risk Management / Case Management techniques
• Emergency response experience and coordinator of the same
• Good knowledge of Seismic Operations
• Problem solving, decision making and investigative techniques
• Ability to work long hours
• Ability to work in remote & small urban areas
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good management skills
• Working knowledge of computers ( MS Office preferable)

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 drivers license, preferably class 3 with Air brake endorsement
• Current Standard First Aid (with CPR) certification, or equivalent
• H2S + WHMIS awareness certificate of training
• ATV ticket
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both orally and in writing
