Assalamualaikum w.b.t and a very good morning. I hope all of you are doing fine today.
InshaAllah.

In this morning, I would like to take this opportunity to talk to all of you about a new programme
named as HIP which stands for Highly Immersive Programme. I bet all of you do not know what
HIP actually is.? Is it right?

The Highly Immersive Programme (HIP) is a programme introduced to realise the aspiration of
the (MBMMBI) policy that will improve the English proficiency of students through increased
exposure to English. It also aims to inculcate positive behaviours towards the learning and usage
of the English language. HIP is aligned with student aspirations highlighted in the Malaysia
Education Blueprint (MEB/PPPM) 2013-2025.

All teachers and students,

Generally, HIP is a programme that promote English as the medium for communication in this
school. It is based on the whole school approach. The success of HIP largely depends not only
on the English Teacher or English Panel but it is the combination of all the fundamental factors
starting from the administration….., all teachers….,all students, and parents and
community…including our security staff over there, our cleaner staff, and also dewan Makan and
Canteen Staff…

There are a lot of programmes that we have done such as scrap book, …….. and we also have
planned many upcoming programmes in this school for example we will be hosting weekly
assembly in English, English day, English interactive boards, public speaking corner and many
more.
My dear friends and students…
In this launching ceremony of the HIP programme, I also want to introduce our school slogan for
the HIP Programme. Let us look at the backdrop banner there, the logo shows us the sign of HIP
and the slogan is SUPERS Excellent. Ok students…What is SUPERS?

Yes… it is the acronym for Sg Petani Religious School( SU for sungai, PE for Petani, R for
religious and S for school) . Before this, we only use SMASP for Sekolah Menengah Agama
Sungai Petani but today through this programme we will know our school name as SUPERS….
SUPERS Excellent…..

Yeah…. I hope through this programme, not only Supers is excellent… but all of us will be
excellent students and excellent Ummah… Insha Allah….

I hope that, all of us can cooperate together so that we can enhance our English proficiency.
There is a quote said by a Chinese thinker, Lao Tzu, “The journey of a thousand miles begins
with one step.” If we do not start now, when then?
