380 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week.
“The purpose of the Holy Hour is to encourage a deep personal encounter
with Christ. The holy and glorious God is constantly inviting us to come to
Him, to converse with Him, to ask for such things as we need and to
experience what a blessing there is in fellowship with Him.” (Archbishop
Fulton Sheen) Call today for your encounter with Christ, Gene 330-690-9661 or Joie
330-745-6852. We still have a vacancy Sunday: midnight to 1:00am.

Before Jesus faced the attacks of the scribes and Pharisees, he spent the night in the
quiet of the Mount of Olives. Technology increases the demands on us and we all need
a quiet place to refuel our spirit, otherwise all we share in our homes are fatigue and
bitterness. Where can you find a few minutes each day to refresh your spirit?

Please pray for our Sick especially: Betty Bartel, Lisa Gnap, Judy Kriston, Anne
Trischan, Shanon Johnson,Joanne Ramsay, William Bedford, Carol Garman, Chad

Pastor’s Formed Pick of the Week: “Love Hurts: The Truth behind Redemptive Suffering”
In this presentation, Matthew Leonard focuses on the new idea of love proclaimed by
Christ and how it gives meaning to human suffering, penance, and ultimately death. Sounds a
bit dark doesn’t it? But, it’s not! By looking at these issues we will discover the secret to how
we can “Rejoice in the Lord always (Phil 4:4) just like St. Paul no matter what happens. Having
lived through the deaths of so many family members and friends and their sufferings, especially
enduring the death of my mother, the hope of life in Christ and the resurrection has only become
more meaningful and more intensely redemptive.
Christ’s Peace!
Fr. David Majikas

St. Augustine will once again have a Lenten Communal Reconciliation Service on Monday,
April 8 beginning at 7:00pm in the church. Numerous priests will be available and you may

Join us for Bishop Robert Barron’s “The Mass” hosted by Deacon Robin Adair. The next session
is Wednesday, April 10 from 7-8:30 in the rectory. This will be a seven week study with each
weekly session standing alone, dealing with a separate aspect of the Mass. Walk through the
Liturgy and be transformed through insights on this most privileged and intimate encounter with
our Lord. “The Mass” will help you understand how to fully, consciously, and actively participate
in the source and summit of Christian Life. Consider making this part of your Lenten journey.
For questions, contact Deacon Adair at 330-283-4983.

Did you think about increasing your spiritual reading during Lent this year?

reflect the original policy, first established in 2003. We will remain standing after the Lamb of
God, throughout the distribution and reception of Holy Communion and the singing of the
Communion Hymn, until the end of the distribution of Holy Communion. Once the last person
has received Holy Communion, and the Communion Hymn ends, we may kneel or sit for private
prayer.

Have you made your Confirmation yet? It is feasible that some adults have not
received the Sacrament of Confirmation for one reason or the other. St. Augustine would
like to invite adults who have not been confirmed to consider doing so this year. Fr. Bill
Browne is inviting all Catholic men and women who have already been baptized, made your
First Confession and have received your First Holy Communion to work with him to get
ready to be confirmed here at St. Augustine Church on Sunday, June 2 at the 10:30 Mass.
