CANALES ABIERTOS Y SUS GENERALIDADES Y PRINCIPIOS FUNDAMENTALES

1. Defina la clasificación de flujo en canales abiertos: Tipos de flujo, Estado del flujo y
Regímenes de Flujo.

2. Realizar una figura de comparación entre flujos en tuberías y flujo en canales abiertos

3. En un canal rectangular de 4,2 m de ancho, el caudal es 8,3 m3/s con profundidades

de 0,7m, 1,2 m y 1,4m. Determinar si el flujo es subcrítico o supercrítico.

4. Cuál es la profundidad hidráulica de las siguientes secciones de flujo, los taludes para
el canal trapezoidal es 1:1

5. Para un canal rectangular con un ancho de fondo de 2,10 m calcule el área mojada y
el radio hidráulico para profundidades que varían desde 0,10 m hasta 2,0 m. Grafique
el área y el radio hidráulico Vs la profundidad.

6. Calcule el área mojada, el perímetro, el radio hidráulico, el ancho superficial y la

profundidad hidráulica para un canal:

• Rectangular, 3,20 m de profundidad, 5,0m de ancho.

• Trapezoidal, la mitad de un hexágono, 3,1m de profundidad.
• Triangular, 3,0m de profundidad, .
• Circular, 2,5m de profundidad, r= 3,0m.

7. Para la figura, hallar y la fuerza que ejerce al agua sobre la compuerta, si

el canal es rectangular de ancho b=2,5 m y transporta un caudal de 3,0 m3/s y el valor
de Y1 es 0,50 m.

8. Para el resalto hidráulico que se presenta en un canal rectangular con un caudal de

1,5 m3/s, el número Froude en 1 es 5,0 y con un ancho b de 0,5 m, se pide calcular:

• La profundidad del flujo antes y después del resalto.

• La longitud del resalto.
• La pérdida de energía en el resalto.
• La potencia disipada en el resalto.
• La eficiencia del resalto.

9. Llenar los datos que faltan en la siguiente tabla relacionados con la profundidad crítica

10. Dibujar la curva de energía específica para un canal rectangular de ancho 12,1 m que
transporta Q = 55,2 m3/s. Determinar a) la profundidad critica, b) la energía especifica
mínima, c) la profundidad alterna correspondiente a una profundidad de 1,80 m.

11. Un flujo de un río se acerca a una compuerta según la siguiente figura a una V1 = 0,42
m/s e y1 = 1,6 m. Teniendo en cuenta la energía cinética de la corriente incidente,
calcule a la salida, sección 2: a) la profundidad, b) la velocidad y c) el número de
Froude. (Suponer que el flujo no se presenta fricción y se desprecia el tamaño de la
brecha

12. Para un canal ancho fluye agua a q = 4,00 y con un y1 = 0,75 m , que se

13. Sean Vo=1,2 m/s e yo= 1,5 m, como se muestra en la figura. Si la altura máxima de la
elevación es de 20 cm, determine a) el número de Froude sobre la cresta de la
elevación y b) la máxima depresión experimentada por la superficie del agua. Ayuda:
E 0 = E x + Δh( x) .

14. Considere el desagüe bajo compuerta, según la figura. Si y1 = 12,5 m y se desprecian

todas las perdidas salvo la disipación en el resalto, calcule y2 e y3 y el porcentaje de
disipación.

15. Por un canal riego de forma trapezoidal circulan 1500 l/s, si el ancho del canal es 4,5
m, y el talud es 1:1, determine la energía específica y tipo de régimen se presenta en
cada profundidad, para las siguientes profundidades que presenta el canal en tiempo
de verano (0,50, 1,00, 1,50).
