This document describes a destination tracking assistive aid device for visually impaired persons using a Raspberry Pi. The device integrates ultrasonic, fire, and water sensors to help with navigation, and uses an RF module to locate a stick if misplaced. A GPS module tracks destination location, and an input device allows entering a destination name. An audio jack provides the visually impaired person with processed outputs from the Raspberry Pi like directions to their destination, distances, and sensor information. The goal is to help give a sense of vision and aid navigation for visually impaired individuals.

ABSTRACT In this paper we design an assistive aid for visually impaired persons which is mainly used for their navigation purpose using raspberry pi. This device is integrated with ultrasonic, fire and water sensors. This uses the RF module for finding the stick when they misplace it. For destination tracking purpose it uses the GPS module and an input device to get destination name as an input. Also a wheel is used to change the direction of the blind if any sensor has been detected. Through the audio jack the blind gets all the processed output from the raspberry pi like the destination directions, distance and the sensor information. Thus this system gives the sense of vision for the visually impaired person.
