Abstract
This study evaluates the evaluation and marketability of ginger as a
candy. It utilized the ginger candy due to the many health benefits that people
can get from it. Equally the research wanted to remedy some problems on under
nutrition correlated to poverty based on the survey conducted established 2008
by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI). 3 groups of respondents
participated in the study children , teen ager and adults.

Using the experimental method of research it involved 90 respondents

selected through purposive sampling and grouped into three(3).Ginger candy
was evaluated using 9 points hendonic rating scale . The data were personally
gathered and statistically treated using the weighted mean and one factor for
ANOVA .The group assesed the ginger candy with proportin of 10grams
,15grams and 20 grams of ginger candy are very acceptable in terms of
appearance ,Marketability ,taste,texture. Also its level of Marketability of ginger
candy as percieved by the respondents its very acceptable as well.

Furher more the three groups of respondents positively accepted ginger

as a candy.The study recommend that

1. A further expiremental study be conducted to determined the exact

nutritive value within each product ,the profitability and the shelf life of the
ginger candy.
2. A study be done utilizing ginger candy can be a medicine to the sorethroat
and cough.
