1.What is Historical heritage and Cultural hiretage and why should we preserve
Historical and Cultural Heritage?

Cultural heritage is the legacy of physical artifacts and intangible attributes of a group or society
that is inherited from past generations.

Cultural heritage includes tangible culture (such as buildings, monuments, landscapes, books, works of
art, and artifacts), intangible culture (such as folklore, traditions, language, and knowledge), and natural
heritage (including culturally significant landscapes, and biodiversity).

The deliberate act of keeping cultural heritage from the present for the future is known as preservation
(American English) or conservation (British English), though these terms may have more specific or
technical meaning in the same contexts in the other dialect.

The ethics and rationale of cultural preservation.

Objects are a part of the study of human history because they provide a concrete basis for ideas, and can
validate them. Their preservation demonstrates a recognition of the necessity of the past and of the
things that tell its story.[2] In The Past is a Foreign Country, David Lowenthal observes that preserved
objects also validate memories. While digital acquisition techniques can provide a technological solution
that is able to acquire the shape and the appearance of artifacts with an unprecedented precision[3] in
human history, the actuality of the object, as opposed to a reproduction, draws people in and gives them
a literal way of touching the past. This unfortunately poses a danger as places and things are damaged by
the hands of tourists, the light required to display them, and other risks of making an object known and
available. The reality of this risk reinforces the fact that all artifacts are in a constant state of chemical
transformation, so that what is considered to be preserved is actually changing – it is never as it once
was.[4] Similarly changing is the value each generation may place on the past and on the artifacts that
link it to the past.

Types of heritage
Cultural property

Cultural property includes the physical, or "tangible" cultural heritage, such as artworks. These are
generally split into two groups of movable and immovable heritage. Immovable heritage includes
building so (which themselves may include installed art such as organs, stained glass windows, and
frescos), large industrial installations or other historic places and monuments. Moveable heritage
includes books, documents, moveable artworks, machines, clothing, and other artifacts, that are
considered worthy of preservation for the future. These include objects significant to the archaeology,
architecture, science or technology of a specified culture.

Intangible culture
"Intangible cultural heritage" consists of non-physical aspects of a particular culture, more often
maintained by social customs during a specific period in history. The concept includes the ways and
means of behavior in a society, and the often formal rules for operating in a particular cultural climate.
These include social values and traditions, customs and practices, aesthetic and spiritual beliefs, artistic
expression, language and other aspects of human activity. The significance of physical artifacts can be
interpreted as an act against the backdrop of socioeconomic, political, ethnic, religious and philosophical
values of a particular group of people. Naturally, intangible cultural heritage is more difficult to preserve
than physical objects.

Natural heritage

"Natural heritage" is also an important part of a society's heritage, encompassing the countryside and
natural environment, including flora and fauna, scientifically known as biodiversity, as well as geological
elements (including mineralogical, geomorphological, paleontological, etc.), scientifically known as
geodiversity. These kind of heritage sites often serve as an important component in a country's tourist
industry, attracting many visitors from abroad as well as locally. Heritage can also include cultural
landscapes (natural features that may have cultural attributes).

GADUR (FOODJAR)

This Gadur (foodjar) is our heritage from our

ancestors. This gadur have a different desingn also include the okir that surround this jar. I heard a story
from my grandmother that this gadur is over 200 yrs old from now it is from her great ancestors which
they heritage it to her.
Marami pang nangyari bago makuha ng lola namin ang gadur na ito some of her relatives want to sold it
because 40% of it is gold thats why they convince my grandmother mother to sold it but my
grandmother didn't want to sold it because it is the only one thing that remind her how great her
ancestors and a memories of her mother when they clean it in the river. Their is a river that they called
maniyagi which they used to clean in that place this river has a history that thier is a beautiful girl who
always take a bath thier kaya halos lahat ng mga tao saamin kahit na ang mga lalaki ay naliligo dito
hanggang ngayon.
It is very
important to our family because this thing is protected and care with our ancestors.

2.Why should we preserve this particular historical and cultural heritage?

Preserving culture and heritage through generations

Cultural heritage is the legacy of physical artefacts and intangible attributes of a group or society
that are inherited from past generations, maintained in the present and bestowed for the
benefit of future generations. Cultural heritage includes tangible culture (such as buildings,
monuments, landscapes, books, works of art, and artefacts). It also includes intangible culture
traditions or living expressions inherited from our ancestors and passed on to our descendants,
such as oral traditions, performing arts, social practices, rituals, festive events, knowledge and
practices concerning nature and the universe or the knowledge and skills to produce traditional
crafts intangible culture (such as folklore, traditions, language, and knowledge), and natural
heritage (including culturally significant landscapes, and biodiversity). Whatever shape they
take, these things form part of a heritage, and this heritage requires active effort on our part in
order to safeguard it.

They may be significant due to their present or possible economic value, but also because they
create a certain emotion within us, or because they make us feel as though we belong to
something - a country, a tradition, a way of life.

The best way to preserve your cultural heritage, whatever it may be, is to share it with others.

The importance of preserving heritage, tradition and race

Cultural heritage and natural history of a nation has a very high value and is unique. It is an
identity that can be introduced to the world.Cultural heritage affirms our identity as a people
because it creates a comprehensive framework for the preservation of cultural heritage
including cultural sites, old buildings, monuments, shrines, and landmarks that have cultural
significance and historical value. Culture and its heritage reflect and shape values, beliefs, and
aspirations, thereby defining a people’s national identity. It is important to preserve our cultural
heritage, because it keeps our integrity as a people. The importance of intangible cultural
heritage is not the cultural manifestation itself but rather the wealth of knowledge and skills
that is transmitted through it from one generation to the next. The social and economic value of
this transmission of knowledge is relevant for minority groups and for mainstream social groups
within a State, and is as important for developing States as for developed ones.

The importance of the recognition of international qualifications for the preservation of cultural
heritage and integration for immigrant receiving countries Recognising international
qualifications of culturally diverse professionals in immigrant receiving countries helps diasporic
communities in preserving, respecting and accommodating their cultures. Recognising these
qualifications also enriches host societies by diversifying their approaches to services, cultural
offerings and businesses. This becomes particularly important when smaller communities are
trying to attract migrants but the host communities lack diverse cultural resources to attract and
retain them. Recognising international qualifications is designed to integrate newcomers but
also to leverage what they have to offer in terms of culture and professional expertise.

3.What is the present condition and why we need to preserve this historical
things or place?
The present condition of this artifact is some of its part is damage dahil sa minsan ay
We need to preserve this historical things beacause it is
the only proof na my mga ganito talagang bagay at nagpapaalala saamin ng mga memories ng
grandmother namin before siya namatay in this few weeks. Ang mga gamit din na ganito
saaming mga maranao ay nagsisimbolo na you are belong to the Royal blood of Sultan, Datu and
Bae a Labi. This gadur is now use as a decoration in our house.
Things thing should be preserve properly kaya every 3 months we clean it by using those thing
that I mention earlier. After cleaning it we now display it in a place where we know that no one
can play or touches it beacase habang tumatagal ay pawala ng pawala ang mga ganitong gamit .
We should preserve it for new generation para pag sa generation naman nila ay maganda ang
