Three Modes

Automatic Synchronization of
Alarm/Event Logs and Active Alarms

If an NE is connected to the U2000 for the first time

or reconnects to the U2000 after a disconnection, the
U2000 automatically synchronizes NE alarm/event logs.
The synchronization rules can be modified.
Alarm logs and active alarm synchronization is
triggered when the alarm SSNs are discontinuous.

Portal for modifying the alarm logs synchronization rules: Double-click

Fault Management in Application Center and choose Alarm Settings > Set
Rules for Syncing NE Alarm logs

Note:
Setting NE alarm log synchronization rules applies only to
NEs in compliance with NBMML and BINMML protocols.

Manual Synchronization
of Active Alarms

If the automatic synchronization fails or other causes

lead to inconsistency of alarm data between the
U2000 and NEs, you can immediately start manual
synchronization of the active alarms of a specified NE.

Portal for setting manual synchronization parameters:

Double-click Fault Management in Application Center and
choose Browse Alarm > Synchronize NE Alarms.

Scheduled Synchronization
of Active Alarms

If you feel troublesome to start manual synchronization,

you can set a synchronization time and period to enable
the U2000 to synchronize active alarms from NEs on
scheduled.

Portal for setting scheduled synchronization parameters:

Double-click System Management in Application Center
and choose Task Schedule > Task Management

Note:
Scheduled synchronization is targeted for NEs on the
entire network, and therefore involves a large amount
of data. This function is disabled by default.
