Abstract

The purpose of this Investigation article is to research the constitution of the body
that children realize after living a situation of sexual abuse and they are under the care of a
protection institution. As from three fundamental aspects; The corporal constitution versus
the relationship with the others, the self and the institutional offerings. From a clinical
posture. The objectives are; the characterization of how the child lives his corporality in the
institution, recognize some aspects of the intersubjectivity that appear in the social interaction
modes, and finally, identify the presence of corporal forms in the activities proposed by the
institution.
This is an investigation of qualitative approach, that seeks to give importance to the
singular aspects of the participants, is an exploratory and descriptive study. It was made with
three participants, between 10 and 11 years old, they belong to the foundation Bosconia, from
downtown of Santiago de Cali. Making use of the observation, getting into the everydayness
and the voices that constitute the institution, favoring the creation of spaces for dialogue. In
total seven observations participants and non-participants were made.
Regarding the results, different ways of communicating through the body were found
inside of the protection institution; starting from the distance, the closeness and the call to
the other. Living the body is identified as a necessity, since spaces that allow the vital
expansion, generating opportunities to live the body and the word as a tool for the elaboration
of traumatic experiences, as is the child sexual abuse. In the same way, the need for filiation
is constituted from the distrust and the perception of another that hurts. Generating
difficulties in the vinculation of the child to his social environment, because this implies
putting a part of the self at the mercy of another that is perceived as malicious.
