NOTIFICA TION
New Delhi, the 3rd July,  2014 
G.S.R.  433(E).­In  pursuance  of sub­section  (I)  of Section  36  of the  National  Institute  of Phannaceutical 
Education  and  Research  Act,  1998,  (13  of 1998),  the  Central  Government  hereby  publishes  the  following 
further  amendments  to  the  first  .st.atutes  of the  National  Institute  of Pharmaceutical  Education  and  Research 
made under Section 27 of the saiu Ac.;i. by the Bu&rd of Governors of the 3aid In3t:tute ·,.J!ith the pre'.,ious
approval of the Visitor, namely:-
2.  (I) These Statutes may be called the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research 
(Amendment) Statutes, 2014.  . I  
(2) They shall come into force  on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.  , I  
3.  In the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Statutes (hereinafter referred to 
as the said Statutes), "Note 2"of clause 3.6 of Statute 3 shall be omitted. 
4.  In the said Statutes, for Statute 6, the following Statute shall  be substituted, namely:-
6.   APPOINTMENTS 
6.1   The NIPER adopts a policy of making appointments on regular basis. 
6.2   A  high  level  Committee  may  be  constituted  with  the  approval  of NIPER,  Mohali,  including 
an  officer  not  below  the  rank  of  Joint  Secretary  from  the  Ministry  of  Chemicals  and 
Fertilizers  (Department  of  Pharmaceuticals)  which  will  examine  and  recommend  the 
reguiarisation  of existing contractual employees  taking  into  account, inter­alia,  the  following 
criteria:-
(i)   whether a regular method of recruitment was  followed  in  a fair and transparent  manner 
while appointing the existing contractual employee; 
(ii)   whether  his  or  her  past  pertormance  and  the  service  record  have  been  found 
satisfactory; 
(iii)   whether he  or she fulfilled the qualification provided  for  that particular post at the time 
of his or her appointment on  which he  or she is  being considered for  regularisation. 
5. In the said Statutes, in Statutes 8,  in clause 8.2,  the words "the contracts" shall be omitted.
