Mr Anuj Bhagwati joined A.T.E. in 1994. He is a B.S. (Engineering Physics) and M.S. (Applied Physics)
from Cornell University, USA. Anuj has been instrumental in transforming A.T.E. into a modern and
technology oriented group and its further diversification into clean tech.

Mr Georg Huber joined HUBER in 2001 after his degree in business administration from the Anglia
Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK. He gathered experience in the sales department, helping develop the
Latin American market for the company. In 2006, he became head of the financial department, He joined
the board of directors in 2008. Since 2010, he has served as CEO of the company.

Mr Franz Heindl joined HUBER after completing his degree as mechanical engineer at the University of
Applied Sciences, Regensburg, Germany, in 1995. He is in charge of all sales activities of HUBER in
international markets. Additionally he is a Board Member for the HUBER subsidiaries in Asia-Pacific and
Russia.

8
Industrial wastewater treatment – breakthrough technologies

 A proven technology, a combination of anaerobic and aerobic process for textile process house
wastewaters
AAA®  Reduces chemical consumption and sludge generation by around 70%
(Textile)  Achieves appreciable colour reduction without chemicals
 Produces useful biogas

 A proven technology with two stage anaerobic degradation to handle dairy and food industry wastewaters
that are high in fats
AVR ® - AF
 Employs jet mixing instead of mechanical mixers for uniform mixing of effluent inside the reactor
(Dairy)
 Effective in degrading fats, proteins and edible oil
 Produces useful biogas

 A proven technology for treatment of complex wastewaters from the petrochemical and pharmaceutical
AHR industry
(Pharma &  A hybrid reactor with a combination of two anaerobic technologies
Petrochem)  Improves solids retention and enhances treated water quality
 Produces useful biogas

9
Industrial wastewater treatment – breakthrough technologies

 Unique combination of an ultrafine gravity filter followed by reverse osmosis

RDRO  Provides simplified operation, continuous filtration without loss of time back washing
(Wastewater  Reduces overall space requirement, backwash water volume and power consumption
recycle)  About 80-90% of the treated water can be recycled back for process to achieve zero liquid discharge

• A combination of flat sheet submerged ultrafiltration followed by reverse osmosis

• Unique system that protects downstream RO membranes as well as upstream biological treatment
SUFRO ® • Operates with minimum backwash water
• System is very simple to operate and control
• Easy plug and play tertiary treatment and replacement of conventional UF

• A unique flat sheet back-washable ultrafiltration membrane technology from HUBER SE (Germany)
• Available as static membrane packs (Biomem) and rotating membrane packs (VRM)
MBR • Membrane porosity 0.04 micron the lowest compared to other flat sheet membranes, provides better
permeate water quality
• Operates with minimum backwash water
• Very simple to operate and control
