Company Overview
Central Steel and Wire Company is engaged in the distribution of processed and unprocessed
ferrous and nonferrous metals. The Company offers a variety of products, including steel beams,
channels, angles, tees, and rails, as well as hot, cold, and coated steel sheet. The Company also
provides brass and copper rod, coil, sheet, plate, tubing, and pipe, as well as aluminum coiled
and flat sheet, bar, tubing, and extrusions. The metals offered by the Company are generally
obtained from rolling mills in many forms and distributed from the Company’s warehouses, which
are primarily located and serving customers in the Midwest. In addition, Central Steel and Wire
Company provides administrative support for customers through e-COIN, a customized order
inquiry network. Customers range from Fortune 50 companies to large OEMs to small,
independent fabricators, all of whom enjoy access to a selection of prime ferrous and nonferrous
metal products that is second to none.

Major Products & Services


Central Steel and Wire Company distributes processed and unprocessed ferrous and nonferrous
metals in the Midwest. The company offers structural steel products, including angles and
channels, bar angles and channels, bar tees, I beams, MC channels, rails, and wide flange
beams; and steel plates. It also provides steel sheets and coils, such as abrasion resistant,
coated, cold rolled, CQ 1050, HSLA, low carbon commercial and structural, and spring steel
sheets; coated, cold rolled, HSLA, and low carbon commercial coils; and cold rolled DSAK coils
and sheets. In addition, the company offers hot rolled and cold finished carbon, and alloy steel
bars; steel tubes and pipes; stainless steel angles, bars, coils, pipes, plates, sheets, and tubes;
and aluminum bus bars, bars, coils, extrusions, pipes, plates, shapes, sheets, structural products,
tubes, and wires. Further, it provides copper and brass bars, coils, pipes, plates, sheets, tubing
products, and wires; and bronze bars, bushings, coils, plates, sheets, and tubing products.
Additionally, the company offers floor and safety products comprising alum expanded metals,
expanded steel gratings, floor plates, gratings, Morton safety products, steel expanded metals,
and tread plates; round drill rods; and aluminum, brass, copper, and steel flat and round wires,
as well as steel strappings.
The company serves mining and construction, fabricator, electrical equipment, lawn/garden
equipment, appliance and food service, industrial machinery, agriculture, machine and job shop,
automotive and truck, material handling, energy, fitness and recreational, waste handling, medical
equipment, and service center industries.
