Introduction/Engagement:
Teachers will log in to play a Kahoot! game on infographics. It will summarize the lessons
from the past three days. Teachers will be encouraged to play on either their phone or
computer. The teacher will explain that they will see the questions and options on the
Interactive Whiteboard and then need to make the selections as quickly and accurately as
they can on their devices.

Lesson: (Teacher Input, Guided, Independent Activities etc)

1. After the Kahoot! Game teachers will have a chance to see a comparison infographic.
2. The teacher will explain that many of these exist and that they lend themselves to
having many facts and research about each side.
3. The teacher will then have the teachers brainstorm how they would use this type of
infographic with a partner.
4. The teachers will then share (think-pair-share) how they would like to use this type of
infographic.
5. The teacher will then explain how to use this infographic to spark a debate or have the
students select a side to create an argumentative essay.
6. The teachers will simulate this activity by being presented with a comparison
infographic on different types of social media. They will need to choose one and write
an argumentative essay as though they were recommending one of these tools to a
business that is trying to market themselves to new customers.
7. To wrap up the lesson teachers will participate in a Quizizz activity summarizing the
key concepts they have learned in a fun and competitive way.

Modifications: Enrichment:
Teachers will be allowed to choose their own
comparison infographic if they would like to
find one more relevant to their content area.
