Summary Writing
Mobile phone is a phone with access to a cellular radio systems and it can be
used over a wide area, without physical connections to the network. It’s also one of
the most modern and sophisticated communication facilities. People can connect with
other users using a mobile phone regardless of time and place. Nowadays, a young
people or children are mostly using mobile phone as a communicated with their
family and friends. Some people think that is a positive development and others think
they are negative one. The setting of listening assignment audio is formal
conversation between two people which is the interviewer and Canny. The topic they
are talking about is “Children Today Having a Mobile Phone”. The both speaker are
sharing the public opinion and experiences community about children having a
mobile phone.

Both speaker are sharing their thought about the disadvantage and advantage of
children having a mobile phone. Canny is sharing her thought about the advantage of
giving mobile phone to children, and the other hand, the interviewer is giving her
opinion about the advantages. Canny said that children that own a mobile phone will
be in a good safety so that she can keep in touch in event of emergency. So also said
that it will teach children to be much more responsible by giving them a mobile phone
and also technology is also necessary in life, much more advantages that children can
get from a mobile phone. Meanwhile, the interviewer said that children that own a
mobile phone, are much more exposed to dangerous while using mobile phone, like
talking on the phone when walking down the road. Secondly, she said that, mobile
phone on children will make them more likely to be more dependent upon technology
by watching TV and playing computer. The last disadvantage that she stated is,
mobile phone nowadays are much more expensive to buy, so it cost so much money.
 Referring to the both intention of giving children a mobile based on both thought,
mobile phone can be both advantages and disadvantage for children. But I do prefer
of giving a mobile phone to a children for an important reason only, like studying.
Children that spend so much time on mobile phone are more likely to waste their
time. They will also ignore others feeling which will lead to lack of empathy.

By the info delivered from both of the speaker, it can be concluded that mobile
phone both have advantages and disadvantages for children. It just we, as a parent
aware of the child behaviors when we and them a mobile phone.
