SUBJECT BRAKE PIN INDICATOR MISSING.

Referenced Maintenance Documents:
Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) 32-42-27-210-056A
Purpose:
The purpose of this info note is to inform Flight Crews that in according with AMM, one
BRAKE PIN INDICATOR may be missing in each brake.
Background:
Some Flight Crews noticed that this item is not indicated at the Operator’s MEL or CDL.
Due to this fact, a delay was produced until this situation was cleared.
Description:
It is allowed to operate the aircraft with one BRAKE PIN INDICATOR missing in each
brake in accordance with subtask descripted at AMM 32-42-27-210-056A.
The conditions to dispatch the aircraft are:
- there is another PIN INDICATOR in the same brake and,
- it is within limits.
NO MAINTENANCE ACTION IS REQUIERED.

BOTH BRAKE PIN INDICATORS MISSING AT THE SAME BRAKE.

If both BRAKE PIN INDICATORS are missing, maintenance assistance is needed. In
this case, aircraft can be operated as long as the brake is deactivated and consequent
limitations are observed.
