EARN WEEKLY USHL AWARDS
Chicago, IL – The United States Hockey League today announced the weekly award winners for the
fifth week of the 2010-11 USHL regular season.

Congratulations to forward Cason Hohmann of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, named CCM
Offensive Player of the Week; defenseman Jacob MacDonald of the Waterloo Black Hawks, selected
as CCM Defensive Player of the Week; and Connor Wilson of the Chicago Steel who earned honors
as the Reebok USHL Goaltender of the Week.

Hohmann scored five points (4g, 1a) and posted a plus-3 rating in two victories for the RoughRiders.
The 17-year-old netted four goals in the 7-3 win against Dubuque on Friday. He scored two goals in
the first period before completing the natural hat trick just over six minutes into the second frame.
Hohmann added his fourth goal of the night later in the period to set a League season high. The
second-year USHL forward then added an assist the following evening in the 3-2 overtime victory
against Dubuque. The native of Plymouth, Michigan now leads the USHL with seven goals and ranks
second in scoring with 11 points (7g, 4a).

MacDonald recorded multiple points in both weekend victories for the Black Hawks, finishing with four
points (1g, 3a) and a plus-one rating. The 17-year-old assisted on both goals in regulation during the 3-
2 shootout win over Chicago on Friday. He then posted two points (1g, 1a) and a game high six shots
in the 7-1 win at Muskegon on Saturday. MacDonald ranks tied for second on his team with six points
(2g, 4a) through seven games this season, which also is tied for fourth in scoring among USHL
defensemen. It is the second USHL season for the native of Brighton, Michigan after he collected 10
points (4g, 6a) in 29 games for Waterloo in 2009-10.

Wilson posted a 1.38 goals-against-average and a .950 save percentage as the Steel split a pair of
shootout contests during the weekend. He stopped 24 shots in the 3-2 shootout loss to Waterloo on
Friday. The 19-year-old then made 33 saves and turned aside 7-of-8 attempts in the shootout during
Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Team USA. Wilson has started all but one of the ten games for the Steel
this season, compiling a 1.97 GAA and .937 save percentage. He ranks second among USHL
goaltenders in minutes played (548) and saves (269) this season. It is the second USHL season for
Wilson after he won 14 games for the Steel in 2009-10.
