MODULAR INVERTERS - MODULE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE v1.

Scope Tools/Reference Documents Required


This procedure covers the replacement of CE+T - Flat Screw Driver
Power modular inverter modules in a Power - Laptop
System. - A/B USB cable

Procedure :

1. Unplug the Inverter Module to be replaced (see the illustration below for unlocking sequence).
When removing a module from a working system an alarm will be generated and will not clear
until the module is replaced or the number of modules in that phase is reduced by the number of
modules removed.

Use screw driver to release the latch Open the cover completely Use the cover as a handle to remove
the module

2. Insert the new inverter module into the system.


When installing a new module in a live system, this new module will automatically upload the
system parameters and configuration. Depending on the number of modules and the system
status, it may take up to 30 to 40 minutes before the new installed module starts and is in
operation with the other module(s) already installed.
Please do not remove the module during this procedure.
During the procedure the top left LED is flashing “RED”

Slide the module in Push firmly till the connection is Close the cover and latch the module
properly engaged in place. If too hard, redo step 2 !

The system cannot be communicated to during the reconfiguration process but the other inverters
in the system will function normally.

***Do not interact with the system during the initialization process ***

3. When the initialization sequence is complete the three LEDs on the left hand side of the inverter
module will turn solid green.

This procedure covers the replacement of T2S/ - Flat Screw Driver
T1S Inverter Controller in a Power System. - Laptop
- A/B USB cable

Procedure :
It is recommended that the steps outlined in this procedure be performed with the system in
bypass mode and/or during a scheduled maintence window.

1. Unplug the unit to be replaced. When removing a module from a


working system, an alarm will be generated and will not clear until the
Controller is able to grab all the informations from the inverters
installed.
To release the Controller from the shelf, insert a small flat
screwdriver in the square hole under the USB port and lift up the
lock pin. Then pull out the module.
2. Insert the new Controller into the system. Once inserted, it will
take about 10 minutes (or longer with fully loaded systems) for the
Controller to initialize with the inverter modules.
Do not attempt to remove any system components during the
initialization sequence. Any error/alarm conditions displayed
during initialization must be ignored. Interruptions to the
CAUTION
initialization sequence may result in software corruption and Take a special care when

3. When the initialization sequence is complete the two Controller LEDs
will turn solid green and the bottom LED will flash green.
