Here is a breakdown of the requirements for becoming a PayWay retailer:

- A photocopy of your trading licence as well as an introductory letter from the Lc1 chairman
or a certificate of incorporation and form 7 in case it's a registered company.

Thank you for the detailed information on November 25, 2012 about bed bugs and their control. I wish to
make some corrections or clarification however, regarding the “fumigation” option of controlling bed bugs.
1- The author did well to advise on other methods that do not require pesticides. Hot water may not be a
safe option but a hair drier in a home is a better option. Putting infested property (mattress or sofas) under
the sun is an alternative option. Its is advised to use cultural or mechanical methods before use of pesticides.
2- It is not advisable to carry out bed bug spraying at home by a non qualified or trained personnel as the
author stated ,especially when using dichlorvous based pesticides. Dichlorvous is a very toxic pesticide and
exposure (inhalation, oral or dermal ) could be dangerous especially if you don’t know how to handle its
exposure.
Dichlorvous has been banned by most developed counties while some have found it useful to continue using
it especially in agriculture pest control. However, its quick knock down effect has made it a favourite
especially in controlling cockroaches. It is therefore not advisable that untrained people use any pesticide
on their own. This habit is leading to poisoning every day all over the country. The Uganda Pest Control
Association with the help of Makerere University trains its members on handling pesticides.
