To Whom It May Concern:

It is an honor to recommend Stephanie Connell for a teaching position at your school or in your district. In my
opinion, a teacher’s best qualities are reliability, kindness, dedication, integrity, and work-ethic. Stephanie has
shown a high capacity to meet, and in many instances, exceed expectations in regard to these characteristics.
Never has she let me or the students down in terms of commitment and preparation. She continually shows an
interest in each student and concern for his or her well-being. She is honest with herself and the kids, enabling
them to be free to be themselves and safe to take chances.

In terms of Stephanie’s professional qualities, her drive to succeed and be prepared is extraordinary. Many of
Stephanie’s professional qualities are connected to her personal qualities, but one that stands out is her capability
of planning and executing on a daily basis. She is extremely responsible in the sense that she is at the high end of
the scale in terms of conscientiousness and is deliberate when it comes to being prepared, organized, and
thoughtful in terms of planning. The end goal is always her objective, and meeting that goal appears to be of the
highest importance. The implementation of her lessons has been fun to watch. Her plans and activities are well
thought out, clear, engaging and interesting. Students are given objectives, and they are expected to create
learning goals that through Stephanie’s teaching practices have been noticeably attainable. As important is
Stephanie’s ability to easily make shifts in her teaching and planning to find more productive and enlightening
outcomes.

In a short amount of time, Stephanie has been able to teach the content at a high level because of her diligence,
commitment to her craft and the students, and her ability to understand the language arts content and curriculum.
Certainly, her work ethic plays a role, but she also has the intellect and knowledge to grasp the curriculum and
then present it in the appropriate manner for maximum output and learning potential. She has a strong grasp of
understanding literature, composition, grammar, and every other aspect of the language arts at the secondary
level. What she didn’t have a mastery of she spent the time to learn it and was more than capable of teaching the
content of it.

Additionally, through her ability to relate with the students, Stephanie built a confidence in them that enabled a
feeling of belonging in a classroom that cultivates honesty and commitment. She has the ability to motivate
students to perform through the faith they have in her to support them in every way possible. Students are
comfortable and confident that Stephanie has their best interests at heart, and they did not hesitate to seek her out
for help and guidance.

I have no hesitation in recommending Stephanie for a teaching position. She is prepared for the next step and able
to meet any challenge.

Sincerely,

David Lovalvo
