control the depth of the row cleaner as well as the row unit.

The simple, yet dependable design of the Dawn Gfx Hydraulic
Row Cleaner gives unparalleled control over row cleaning
during narrow planting windows. The hydraulically controlled
Trashwheels™ can be instantaneously adjusted over the entire
length of the planter with an in-cab electronic interface. The
Gfx row cleaners are frame mounted with a trailing-arm design
to limit pressure on the planter row unit. The Gfx system uses
approximately one gallon per minute and can run off Power
Beyond, SCV, or T into variable-rate drive.

 METERING PERFORMANCE PARTS

Flushed-Face Seed Tube

Manufactured with a smoked-tint, ultraviolet-protected polycarbonate material,
the translucent Flushed-Face Seed Tube allows the seed tube sensor to be mounted
completely external from the seed tube. This eliminates the need for a seed sensor hole
(required for other seed tubes on the market today). The flushed-face seed tube provides
an uninterrupted smooth surface from the time the seed enters the seed tube to the exit
point, resulting in more consistent spacing.

ProMax 40 Flat Disk w/Double Eliminator

ProMax 40 accurately singulates a wide variety of
corn seed sizes and shapes for exceptional seed
spacing and population control. It’s even more
effective when used with the double eliminator –
a device that prevents more than one seed from
being planted at a time. Together, the ProMax 40
and double eliminator system delivers 99 percent
singulation of today’s seed sizes.
Seed Knockout Wheel
A seed knockout wheel ensures that certain seed
types are fully released from the seed opening of
the vacuum seed disk. Wheel projections engage
seed holes, forcing all seeds and foreign material
to be ejected. The knockout wheel assembly is
mounted inside the vacuum seed meter dome
and runs against the backside of the seed disk.
All this makes crop changeover easier than ever.

The knockout wheel and scraper can now be

changed by simply snapping into place (no tools
needed); enabling producers to install and remove
in just 15 seconds, saving one minute per row or
five times quicker than before (when switching
crops). Retrofittable domes are designated for
growers with equipment prior to model year 2015
planters. The dome and knockout wheel/scraper
fit on MaxEmerge XP and Pro-Series row units.

CLOSING SYSTEMS

Rubber
Rubber tire wheels are recommended for most conventional, minimum-till, and no-till
planting conditions. The spacing between the wheels is adjustable so the closing system
meets the needs of those planting small seeds at shallow depths. The wheels can also be
staggered fore-and-aft to enhance residue flow. Four levels of spring force are available
and set easily with the integrated T-handle adjustment.

Cast
Cast iron wheels are recommended for use in tough soil conditions where additional closing
force is required. The cast wheels are installed in place of the rubber tires on the same
frame structure and feature force adjustment similar to the rubber tire closing system.
The spacing between the wheels is adjustable and may be staggered fore-and-aft to enhance
residue flow. The cast wheel closing system is not advised for use in tilled conditions.

Disk
The disk closing system is recommended for very shallow planting depths. Two small
disks are used to gently firm soil around the seed and are followed by a wide packer
wheel to gently pack the soil surface. This system is not advised for use in high-residue
applications.

Drag
The drag closing system is recommended for use in soils that are prone to bake and crust

INSECTICIDE
A. Central Insecticide
Offering a reliable, easy-to-use solution to applying liquid
insecticide, this system features closed handling, central fill
and direct injection for row-by-row accuracy.

B. Liquid Fertilizer System

John Deere’s liquid fertilizer system delivers row-to-row
accuracy using a 12-port block manifold to equally distribute
flow to the opener or in-furrow method of application.
The delivery system operates between 15 psi and 90 psi,
depending on the orifice size and rate (four orifice sizes allow
operators to achieve a variety of rates).

Choose the size that fits your needs for storing liquid
insecticide or fertilizer. For correct applications information,
