Kaiden and Hailey work hard in writing center to put
the letters in order.
FYI
What a busy time of year it is! Field trips, spring
sports, dance recitals, end of year programs, etc.
Even with such busy spring schedules, experts at
the Sleep Medicine and Research Center remind
us of the importance of children getting enough
sleep each night. Children ages 5 to 6 require
approximately 10 hours of sleep each night!
I would like to give a big ‘shout out’ to all the
parents and grandparents that volunteered their
time to go to the zoo. I know that running around
after 18 children isn’t glamorous but the children
and I appreciate it very much!!
Another big thank you to everyone who sent in
cleaning spray and snacks for our classroom!
You guys are amazing!

As I was catching up on some national news this
week, I ran across this article and couldn’t resist
sharing with you. There are many benefits to
meaningful conversations during family dinners
and a host of resources to help facilitate those
conversations. Keeping a jar full of kid-friendly,
open-ended questions on the table helps when
the only thing that comes to mind is “What did
you do today?” Think about questions that
are…pure curiosity, whimsical that introduces a
new perspective, prompt your child to talk about
their success, address what’s missing, inviting
other family members into the conversation, etc.

NEEDED
The last day for students to check out books
from the library is May 3rd. Mrs. Dorman, our
media specialist, needs all books returned by
May 10th so that she can complete our library’s
inventory.
