Topic: Proofs of Existence of God.

Name the various proofs for the existence of God. Discuss which argument is the strongest one in your
opinion.

We all at some point in our life come across a question which is “does god really exists?”.
Everyone would simply love to see the god without having to face statements like “you just have
to believe”. When we discuss the possibility of existence of god almost all the religions say that
yes god exists. And for the people who ask that is there a god? They may also ask “how did we
get here” and to answers these questions we can simply have a look at the world around us. To
which some rational people add up by asking: Who is God? Is God real? Where is God? or How
can we reach God? These extremely mysterious questions made the scientists to think about this
dramatic situation and to answer this question some scientists took resort in big bang theory which
says that universe is result of explosion of a ball which keeps expanding. But still the statement
fails to explain the very start of the phenomenon that from where ball came into existence which
then exploded. Because even the explosion needed something that made it to happen and till now
all the scientific potentials and powers are unable to get the satisfactory answer.

Now if we see it from the other side; as my perceptions allow me to do. We can easily see
countless clues and proofs that support the mindset of existence of God. Because according to me
having faith in God is not something to be experienced but it’s a decision that must be taken based
on facts reasons logics. Despite all the discoveries in astronomy , all the information encoded and
advances in the molecular biology, work by chemists and mathematicians ; People of every race,
creed, color, and culture, both men and women, young and old, wise and foolish, from the educated
to the ignorant, claim to have personally experienced something of the supernatural. Which
motivate them to believe that there is a strong connection between God and infinity If everything
in the universe, which includes all the planets and the stars, is finite, then there has to be an infinite
power to push forth the motion of everything in the universe. As God is neither a body nor a force
in the body.

First argument that says that there must be a creator of the universe we are living in right now
is the symmetry of this world. To explain this, we can have example of a building, a building is
designed and then created by mason and workers and then it gets a proper shape and symmetry.
Same is the case with universe it is so massive but at the same time it is in order too, and we simply
cannot expect such massive creation to be creator less or just an accidental happening of the nature.
Earth is a very prime example of order it is of the perfect size, if its size was to be either greater or
smaller than its current size it would not have been able to support an atmosphere with right
mixture of gases that can sustain life on planet earth. And at the same time earth is located at the
very right distance from sun, any closer and we would burn into ashes and any further away from
sun and we would freeze. Our moon is at perfect distance and of size for its gravitational pull.
 Now coming to another wonder of this earth which is water, water is colorless, odorless and
tasteless yet no living things whether its plants, animals and human beings can survive without
water. All this design of this universe and earth hints towards a designer who designed all this.
Moving on from earth if we look at our body it is also a wonder that requires major explanations.
Starting from human brains it processes millions of information and can performs tasks like it can
detects temperature and helps us in seeing, feeling, hearing and even emotions are from our brain.
It can process a million messages a second. There are seven million colours out there in this
universe and a human eye can distinguish between all of them and can handle about one and a half
million messages at a time. Now if we ask science the answer to these questions it seeks resort in
evolution theory which can explain evolution of human body but cannot fully explain first source
of brain and eye. Now the answer to all these questions can only be one that there must be a creator
of all these wonders.

It is a scientific law that we can neither create something from nothing nor we can destroy
something that does not even exist in the first place. Question arises again that from where it all
started and why it started. Three answers that we can put forward to these questions are; it started
from nothing, it created itself or somebody did this. The only logical explanation would be,
somebody created this universe. There surely must be some power to start such a phenomenon.
The big design of this universe which consists of millions of galaxies, unenumerable solar systems
and stars, they are all in an order. They are in such an order that despite being such a big number
they never collide. Sun revolves around its fixed orbit and planets revolve around sun which clearly
strengthens the fact that there is clearly some creation behind it. We have four seasons each year,
mountains, deserts, oceans, skies, days, nights, wind, rain, and snow. This magnificent system of
universe and this surreal set up of earth hints towards only Allah almighty.

Coming purely to religious perspective Islam is completion of all the divine religions, which
were corrupted by human. Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs and Zoroastrians all believe in oneness
of God but with little differences. They all have different Gods and have different ways to offer
prayers but deep inside each of these religions tell its followers to believe in one god. Everyone
seeks help from God whenever they are in stuck in any calamity of life. In ancient civilizations the
concept of one God existed, because Allah says in Quran that all mankind was born with concept
of oneness of God which is also called tauheed. Later as time passed people started worshiping
many Gods and that’s when Allah started sending his messengers to guide mankind towards right
path. The script of Quran is fourteen hundred years old, it covers all the aspects of life teaches.
Despite being a fourteen hundred years old book Quran till date is consistent with the scientific
discoveries being made in twentieth century. For example, it was widespread fact that sun is
stationary and all the other planets revolve around sun until the discovery that sun also have an
orbit which was made in 1914-1918 by Harlow Shapley, but Quran stated this fourteen hundred
years ago “It is he who created the night and the day, the sun and the moon, each floating in its
orbit(Quran 21:33)”. Considering another example, the concept that skin have pain receptors is
discovery of twentieth century, but it was clearly mentioned in Quran that skin feels pain “We
shall send those who reject our revelations to the fire. When their skins have been burned away,
we shall replace them with new ones so that they may continue to feel the pain God is almighty,
all wise (Quran 4:56).” All these wonders and signs indicate only Allah.

In conclusion, although there are many arguments that indicate that there is surely some creator
who have created this universe. The most persuading answer for me is the design and designer
argument it is understandable for everyone even if someone does not have knowledge of science
they can relate to that argument. Whenever you see a new object and want to know that how it was
made the first person you would ask about it is to the creator of that object which indicates to the
fact that there must be a creator for everything it cannot be creator less. In the words of GK
Chesterton “it is absurd to complain that it is unthinkable for an unthinkable God to make
everything out of nothing and then to pretend it is more thinkable that nothing should turn itself
into everything”. There must be authentic, sound purpose and meaning of universe. The scholars
and intellectual say that belief of God is rather as a light within the heart then as collection of facts
and arguments. You need to have the urge to find and seek light from God. Allah is one and there
is no one else who can control the happenings of this universe because more than one sources of
power cannot coexist. But the god of you all is the One Allah. There is no god but He: all things
He comprehends in His knowledge. (Surah Ta Ha, 98)
