Discussion

The importance of this study is to assess the genetic diversity E.arnoldii in the Philippines, particularly from

northern and southern Luzon. This is a crucial resource required for future conservation activities and resource

management. The use of molecular tools such as the utility of mtDNA sequences has been widely adapted to meet

such requirements. Similar approach was used in this study.The utility of analyses (i.e. using phylogenetic and

haplotype) has been importantly applicable to resolve the confusion. Utilization of cox2-3 spacer has been useful to

solve the issues. Classification of genetic diversity in E.arnoldii may convey crucial data that can be beneficial for

future endeavors to ameliorate genetic informations and can provide plausible elucidation to contest main objection

that the species is having.
