Math lesson reflection.

The lesson was about identifying how to add and subtract fractions with the
same denominator. This lesson was for grade 4studnts. The lesson takes place
in the grade 4 math classroom. My achievement was working on classroom
management so before starting the lesson I give paper for each group and I tell
them during the lesson I will observe you if your group is working and listing to
me while I am teaching will get one star if not will lose your point. First teacher
recap what they toke last class because the lesson with following what they
take in last lesson, in the last lesson they toke how to write fractions from the
fraction picture. And in this lesson teacher teach them how to add and
subtract fractions, and in one activity they have to identify fraction from the
picture than solve it. Students were doing four different activity, the 2 of
activity was very useful for students they were engaged and learning same
time, center two activity and center four, in center two students were
answering 10 different fractions and answers in the different order. Students
roll the dice, find the sum of the fractions and search for the answer at the
bottom. The pair that finish first and has the most answers will win the activity.
In center 4 students woke in pair to solve the sums, first they write the
numbers and choose the operation from the cube than solve it. In other hands
the 2 activity has not to work center one and three, center one activity which
card activity same questions was for high-level students for example when the
students have to find the fractions from the picture and solve the sum , these
questions need a high level of thinking, so we I routine the students, some
students are not able to do it. And center three students were using UNO cards
to make a fraction and solve it, and the same students were playing with UNO
and not making the fractions. And next time and have to make sure to explain
each activity in the front so when the student’s routine they will know what to
do in each center. Also, I have to manage my time so in the next lesson, I will
put the timer, so I know who to organize myself. the other thank I have to
focus on in my next lesson the teaching models, (Gradual Release of
Responsibility Model) first I do students watch me then I do they help me, then
they do I watch them, which is “Good Enough” Classroom. In the formative
assessment, I check their understanding and then decide if the topic needs re-
taught, I found that students complete answer the questions and they
understand what I try to teach them only I fund two or three students did not
get the concept of the lesson.
