International Coastal Clean-up at Brgy. Sabang and Brgy. San Juan Del Gallego, Camarines
Sur

It was October 17, 2018 when International Coastal Clean-up happened at

the vicinity of Branngay Sabang Del Gallego Cam. Sur and Brangay Penafrancia
of the same town.
The college students who are currently taking the CES subject as well as the
Sangguniang Kabataan, Elverde Youth for climate action joined forces to do the
activities.
The coastal clean-up aimed to collect all the non-biodegradable materials or
waste that can be a hazard to our environment. On the other hand the Elverde
Youth are making ways to recycle all the plastic bottles and wrappers and make
something valuable out of it. The plastics were segregated and cut into pieces and
placed it inside the empty bottles. According to the facilitator of the program,
every 1 kilo of collected waste was equivalent to a half kilo of rice. Asside from
that the collected materials will be used for the upcoming projects of elverde.
The coastal cleanup done annually inorder to maintain the cleanliness of the
coastal places and prevent the sea or marine life from dying or destruction.
Cleaning up our environment is one of the best practices of the youth in
order to save our mother earth.

Narrative Report of a Volunteer Program and Activities of Higher Education Institution on The
Celebration of 81st Foundation Anniversary of Del Gallego Town of Camarines Sur

81st Foundation Anniversary of the town of Del Gallego were celebrated last
October 2, 2018. The program was started with the mass officiated by the three
friars namely; Rev. Father Juan Paulo Basco, Rev. Fr. Virgilio Fabi and Rev. Fr.
Lucien Banaag. The solemnity of the mass was indeed loved by the people of Del
Gallego. Right after the mass was the opening parade. The community extension
service students joined the parade together with the different barangays,
government agencies and the different schools that can be found in Del Gallego.
The colorful parade was ended at around 10:00 in the morning. After the parade
the mayor of the town, Mayor Lydia Abarientos, delivered an opening speech for
the people and simply recognized the presence of the different barangays and her
affiliates.
The annual celebration of the foundation of the town reminded the people of
Del Gallego how the town evolved through the years. The wonderful history of
progression made the people to become proud native of the town.

Narrative Report of a Volunteer Program and Activities of Higher Education Institution on the
Three Planting Activity

It has long been the custom of the Community Extention Service Discipline
for graduating class to plant a tree just to become a tangible reminder of the class
in years to come.
Last September 28, 2018 the Fourth year Bachelor of Secondary Education
of ASMC under the advisory of Mr. Adriano Ros, managed a tree planting activity
in the school vicinity. The activity was not only serve as something to leave behind
as a remembrance for the current and future CES students but also to help and
connect students to the nature in order to nurture and foster awareness about the
importance and benefits of the tree in preserving a good environment and provide
habitat for other species that help maintain the balance and harmony of life and
nature.

Program at Barangay Sabang, Del Galeego, Cam. Sur

Volunteer Feeding Program Activity

Objective:
1. Value the health of the children in the community
2. Develop cooperation among members
3. Instill discipline among children in terms of valuing nutritious food

Materials:
Food(Lugaw with complete and nutritious ingredients and breads), disposable spoon,
disposable cups

Procedure:
 Set up the venue
 Informing the students that our team will conduct feeding program
 Preparing food
 Giving food to all the participants

Evaluation:
 Cooking food and distribution
 Checking the proper nutrition the children can get in a simple yet great snacks for just one
day

Remarks:
 The children understand the value of eating good and nutritious food
 The member develop cooperation
 The objectives were met
