Researched Interview with

Schuyler Mudgette
Camille Scher
Agnosticism
Coming from Greek words meaning: ‘no’ and ‘knowledge’

Agnostics neither deny or believe in the existence of God, claiming that there is not
enough evidence to say if there is a God or not

Not to be confused with an Atheist which is someone who doesn't believe in any God,
but Agnostics believe that there is not enough evidence to prove there is any type of
God

- I interviewed Schuyler on his beliefs and what it means to be Agnostic in his

opinion
Schuyler Mudgette
I interviewed Schuyler Mudgette about his religious beliefs: how they have changed
throughout his life and how they have impacted his personality and life

He told me that he was raised with Christian morals, but his family was not Christian;
later found his beliefs

Schuyler said it has made him more positive during his day and about obstacles in his
life, then we went to talk about his beliefs on the universe and God: he would have to
“see it to believe it”, and how he is able to converse with friends openly about his
beliefs

He also explains that he doesn't know our purpose on earth, how we can either be here
as a “seed” and sprout from it or we are destructive and the world will be our
“graveyard.” It is unknown if we are even capable to see higher beings than ourselves

I learned much more about Agnosticism than I had previously known, I found it very
interesting to learn more about another belief system/religion.

I learned that there were two types of Agnostics: Strong or weak believers

In the past, I have met other Agnostics but while interviewing Schuyler I realized that
most are very open-minded and open to conversation about evolution and God. Which
I find very intriguing because religion is a very “touchy” topic; however, while
talking to Agnostics I feel more comfortable sharing opinions without the fear of not
agreeing or irritation, especially in our interview.
