I feel that I will be a great addition to the City of Richmond’s Police Department. I am inspired by science
and love to learn new skills and tasks; I very much enjoy working with other people in diverse
environments and work together in creative ways. Working with science and Forensics is a passion of
mine, so being apart of your team as a Crime Scene Technician. I believe I have a great work ethic and
enjoy working with others. I have been studying Chemistry and Forensics for several years and I trust that
I would make an excellent addition to the City of Richmond.

I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and I took many
classes in the Forensics and Criminal Justice field. Throughout the years I have worked with many
different people in different situations, as well as worked in various labs and departments. Each have
taught me more skills through my experience that I can use during my career, and I am very eager to learn
more with your department.

● Photograph evidence and make castings
● Maintain good judgement and handle multiple tasks as they are assigned
● Great work ethic, attend meetings and field observations regularly

● California Drivers License with satisfactory driving record

● Answer questions and handle complaints (public, victims, witnesses, etc.)
● Photograph evidence and show detail by changing lighting and setting of the camera to capture
the best detail in certain conditions
● Stay organized and properly take care of evidence and records
● Secure evidence efficevely; take precautions to ensure there is no destruction of evidence
● Produce castings of impressions of footprints and tire tracks
● Determine what would be the best when identifying, processing, and determining evidence
● Apply knowledge of Chemistry and Forensics whenever needed to ensure the best possible
outcome in any situation

Thank you for considering me to be apart of the City of Richmond’s Police Department. I am very
appreciative of the opportunity to be working with you. I believe I will be a great part of the Police
Departments team, I will be an efficient and effective member because I can bring great communication
and comity to the work area. I have a passion for Forensics and science, so if I am considered to be hired I
will not disappoint, and I would very much enjoy being of service to you.
