Inquiry Level of Anxiety and Sports Performance of the

selected official basketball players.

Purpose This study aims to determine if there exist a
relationship between the Level of Performance
and Level of Anxiety of the official basketball
players of the Sisters of Mary School Boystown,
Inc. School Year 2019-2020.

Research Questions It seeks to answer the following questions:

1. What is the Level of Anxiety towards Sports of

the Basketball Players?

2. What is the Sports Performance of the

Basketball Players?

3. Are the Level of Anxiety and Sports

Performance significantly related?

Hypothesis The researchers hypothesized that there is no

significant relationship between the level of
anxiety and the sports performance of the official
basketball players.

Theoritical Bases Theory of Vitality

- dictates that vitality influences the future

capacity for performance. An athlete has a
baseline vitality with which to work and won ‘t
astray far from that point. Actions or effects that
vitality and either thwart or satisfy the players
need. If the player loves a game and keeps
winning, her instrinsic enjoyment is satisfied, her
vitality rises and she is motivated to continue.

Sandwich Theory

- motivated the athletes to correct or improve

without destroying their seasles of enjoyment,
prie or inclusion as an equal team member.

Ethical Issues The essential issues that need to consider in this

 Research will be Carefulness and Objectivity of
the researchers in analyzing and interpreting the
gathered data, honesty and integrity in research
report presentation and keeping the data
Confidential.

Openness to share the data with professionalism,

the results, idea,tools and resources and legality,
the researchers will obey relevant laws and
policies.

Research Design Correlational Research Design will be used to

distinguish and determine the relationship
between the level of anxiety and sports
performance of the selected official basketball
players of the Sisters of Mary School-Boystown
Inc. Tungkop, Minglanilla, Cebu school Year
2019-2020.

Specific Area This Correlation Research will fully focus on the

Level Level of Anxiety and Sports Performance in
Basketball Game as one of the common
community activity in the Sisters of Mary School
Boystown, Inc. Tungkop, Minglanilla Cebu School
Year 2019-2020.
Population and Sampling The respondents of this Correlational Study will
be the official basketball players of the Sisters of
Mary School Boystown, Inc. Minglanilla Campus
School Year 2019-2020, thus utilizing the Simple
Random for equality of member chances.
Location The study will be conducted to the selected and
chosen (simple random sampling) official
basketball players of the Sisters of Mary School -
Boystown Minglanilla Campus School Year 2019-
2020.

Instrumentation The researchers will adopt a 4-point Likert Scale

Data Collection Procedure
about Sports anxiety and sports performance of
the athletes.
Phase 1. Preparation Stage. The researchers will
prepare and search adopted instruments done
byu the experts to be used in collecting and
 gathering the needed data for the research.

Phase 2. Permission Stage. The researchers will

humbly ask permission from the School Head to
conduct the study to the selected official
bsketball players during the study time. Before
negotiating the respondents full consent of their
mother-sisters is extremely needed thus
presenting the letter signed by the School Head is
essential.

Phase 3. Data Gathering Stage. After, the

researchers will give alotted and appropriate
time in administering the questionnaires to the
selected respondents.

Phase 4. Data Analysis Stage. The questionnaires

will be collected from the respondents, and the
data gathered will be organized and analyzed
using appropriate statistical tools.

Data Interpretation Procedure The Quantitative data collected and gathered will
be analyzed and organized utilizing the
appropriate statistical tools such as:
