Families experiencing Crater Lake National Park

 Junior Ranger program is offered to children between the ages of 6-12.

 Children from the ages of 6-12 can earn a Junior Ranger Badge by completing seven of
Crater Lake’s Junior Ranger activity book.

 Children from the ages of 6-12 can earn a Junior Ranger Patch by participating in ranger-
led activities that are 20 minutes each.

 Family friendly boat tour offered from July to mid-September.

 Trolley tour offered from July to mid-October. Tour starts at Rim Village and will take
visitors through the 33 miles of Rim Drive and around Crater Lake.

 Guided hikes offered from July to September. Hikes are with a park ranger and visitors
learn about Crater Lake’s history.

 From November to April, visitors can join a snowshoe ranger-guided walk. This gives
visitors the chance to learn about Crater Lake’s winter ecology.

 Two campgrounds that families can camp on during the summer: Mazama Campground
and Lost Creek Campground.
