The function of the obstetrician

The role of obstetricians is very broad and is essential in the life of the woman because they accompany her in her
pregnancy, delivery and puerperium. Thanks to this accompaniment they can get to know social, psychological
and family aspects of pregnant women. In addition, through work in the health centers or maternity homes, they
educate on the importance of sexual health and family planning, thus contributing to the prevention of
adolescentpregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, gynecological cancer, etc

Sexually transmitted diseases are infections that spread from one person to another during vaginal,
anal or oral sex. They are very common, and many people who have them do not have symptoms.
STDs can be dangerous, but the good news is that testing is not complicated and that most of these
diseases are easy to treat
