Minutes of the Meeting

Minutes of special meeting held last Feb. 25, 2011, 9:00 in the morning at Daja Sur
Elementary School, Daja Sur, Banga, Aklan. The meeting started with a prayer led by Mrs.
Josefina N. Tapar, followed by the singing of the National Anthem led by Ms. Alma R.
Macahilig. Then it is followed by the checking of Attendance. 14 PTA Officers, 11 Barangay
Officials, Mr. Ramon Zante, and all teaching staff were present in the said meeting. Hon.
Joremen Ingalla, Brgy. Captain of Daja Sur, gave his Words of Welcome then followed by the
Inspirational Message of Mrs. Perla Y. Inocencio, Public Schools District Supervisor.
Mrs. Inocencio discussed about the duties of PTA Officers in school, and she also
suggested that the Pupil Government Officers should attend the meeting of PTA for them to have
knowledge on how to hold a meeting. Mam Perla also reminded everyone that if there are issues
or complaints it should be brought to the attention of authorities through channel, so that the
problems be solved within.
The next thing been discussed is about the letter sent by Ex. Brgy. Capt, Ramon Zante

AGENDA:
1. MOOE
Mrs. Fely I. Teodosio, Head Teacher explained the and where the MOOE spent,
and said that all are recorded and that she has all the papers. She is supported by
Mrs. Perla Y. Inocencio by saying that MOOE cannot be approved if there is no
liquidation papers shown.

2. Р50.00 Penalty
Mr. Rey Tapar, PTA President, explained that the said penalty is for those who
failed to attend the so called “Dagyaw” and it was agreed upon by those who
attended the m4eting. The reason for having that penalty is to oblige the parents to
do their obligations once a month to help maintain the greenness and cleanliness
of the school.

3. Products of School
Mrs. Fely I. Teodosio, ESHT III, reported that the proceeds of bananas and
jackfruits are being used for the payments of electricity bills and recently used for
fare in transporting books borrowed from Library Hub.

Mr. Ramon Zante, reacted about the financial, he said that he just want to know
all about the expenses, that the record should be transparent to avoid problem like
this. He also said that he heard s much issues and complaints outside and that no
one is brave enough to voice it out. That’s why; because of his concern to the
school he sacrificed himself, just to clarify everything.

Hon. Elizabeth Retirva said also that she heard the same. Mr. Rey Tapar asked her
why she didn’t bring it to the attention of the school for it is her role as a
Committee of Education. Mr. Tapar also added that Hon. Retirva should visit the
school once in a while for it is her duty to do so. Hon. Retirva answered that she is
just waiting for the letter asking her to visit the school. Mrs. Perla Y. Inocencio
explained to her that there’s no need for the school to write her a letter for it is her
duty to visit the school as what Mr. Tapar said. In the end Hon. Retirva promised
that she will do it.

Hon Norlina Macahilig mentioned about the P20.00 PTCA Membership Fee for
the last 3 years and asked where it was spent. Mrs. Josemy Ingalla, former PTCA
Treasurer answered that the money was used for the construction of Comfort
room of Grade Six.
4. The Alleged Resignation of 4 PTA Presidents
It was mentioned in the letter of Mr. Ramon Zante that there were 4 consecutive
PTA Presidents resigned within a year. Wherein the truth is there was only one
and that was Mr. Mario Gonzales and the reason is stated in his resignation letter.

Everyone is clarified and the meeting ended at 12:00 noon.
