When the main relay is shorted to Ground, depending on whether the main relay is 1, 2 or 3
the bits are set as shown above.
After the final switch-off command is given to ECU if the ECU is not switched off within
the set time then a fault is assumed to have occurred and Bit3 is set.

Bit 2 : No_Signal
This bit is set if short to Ground or open line or short to UBAT is detected during static sensor test.
In case of eess_s_def_uc, this bit is set if the following condition occurs :
During POLLING meta state, EESS didn’t find a valid signal from the crankshaft sensor.
During WAIT_PHASE meta state, EESS didn’t find a valid signal from the camshaft sensor.
During OK meta state, the camshaft signal fell off completely.
Bit 3 : Not_Plausible
This bit is set if the following conditions occurs :
Sensor is Reverse connected.
In case of CAM shaft sensor, APS or TPS detects an error.
In case of Crank shaft sensor, this bit is set if TPU plausibility error is detected.
(INC where the gap should come or INC didn’t come in time or INC frequency too high
or there are too many noise pulses)
In case of eess_s_def_uc, this bit is set if wrong angle from cam system is obtained in OK
meta state or loss of crankshaft signal or plausibility.

Type 1 : Sensors
BIT0 is set when the sensor is short circuit to UBAT.(SRC_HIGH-Short Circuit To VCC [Internal supply voltage] or
SRC_UMAX)
- Sensor short to Battery (ex, In case of Oil Temp sensor, Battery voltage is excess of limit value(4859mV)
BIT1 is set when the sensor is short circuit to Ground .(SRC_LOW -Short Circuit to Ground or SRC_UMIN)
- Sensor short to ground (ex, In case of Oil Temp sensor, Battery voltage is lower than limit value(250mV)
BIT2 is set when there is a hardware failure or if AD-conversion failure .(NO_SIGNAL-Open Circuit or SRC_UOPEN)
- Sensor signal Open (ex, In case of Oil Temp sensor, Battery voltage is bound from U-open to U-max)
BIT3 is set when there is a tottering contact defect in sensor connection or loose connection .(NOT_PLAUSIBLE)
- Error harness connecting
BIT6 is set when the physical value from the sensor is greater than the predefined threshold. (ABOVE_NORM)
BIT7 is set when the physical value from the sensor is less than the predefined threshold. (BELOW_NORM)

BIT0 is Short Circuit to +Batt (SCUB)
If the insulation is defective and the cable comes in contact with the battery voltage the error SCUB occurs.
The consequences depend on the type of the power stage.
type별 달라질 수 있지만, 상기 Sensor와 같은 원리임. 즉, Lamp가 작동되지 않을 경우엔 o voltage가 발생되고,
반대경우 24v가 발생됨. 이때 Short 발생시 24V이상 과도 전압 발생경우 fault 인식
BIT1 is Short Circuit to Ground (SCG)
If the insulation is defective, the cable can come in contact with ground. The consequences of this error are
different depending on the type of the power stage.
type별 달라질 수 있지만, 상기 Sensor와 같은 원리임. 즉, Lamp가 작동되지 않을 경우엔 o voltage가 발생되고,
반대경우 24v가 발생됨. 이때 Short 발생시 24V미만 미세 전압 발생경우 fault 인식
BIT2 is Open Circuit (OC)
If the connection between the load and the ECU is open because of a faulty cable, loose connector or
defective load, the open circuit error is detected. As a results no current flows through the load even when the
power stage is driven.
이는 상기 Sensor와 동일하고, 이때는 ECU 내부적으로 전류 이상신호 감지하여 fault 발생시킴.
BIT3 is set when there is a tottering contact defect in sensor connection or loose connection.(NOT_PLAUSIBLE)
상기 Sensor와 동일

BIT0 will be set when the rail pressure (efps_p_filt_w) is higher than the threshold value (FPM3_P_MAX_CW).
이것은 Rail 압력이 기준값인 FPM3_P_MAX_CW=170Mpa을 초과하였을 경우 발생
BIT2 will be set when the rail pressure (efps_p_filt_w) is lower than the threshold value (fpm3_p_min_w).
이것은 Rail 압력이 기준값인 엔진 회전수별 Min Pressure 관련 MAP 값 미만일 경우 발생
BIT3 will be set when there is a leakage in the MPROP or MPROP stick with open condition(Negative Deviation)
이것은 CP pump의 Metering unit가 Open 상태 stick 또는 leak 발생경우 Open되었을 경우(저압라인 check)
BIT4 will be set when there is a leakage in the injector or somewhere else. Positive deviation can also be
because of MPRV open.
이는 고압측 Leak 현상에 의해 발생. 특히 이 경우 MPRV Open 현상도 발생되어 fault 47이 발생될 수 있음.
BIT5 will be set if there is a leakage in the high pressure side of the injection system and the engine is in
overrun condition. (Leak Overrun)
이는 Overrun에의해 발생. Overrun으로 인하여 고압이 Injector측에 발생되어 Leak 발생
BIT6 will be set when the difference between rail pressure (efps_p_filt_w) and set point value (fpsc_p_w) is
within a range of threshold values (+/- FPM3_P_ALLODIFF_CW) - Leak Quantity Balance
이는 실 Rail P와 기본으로 set되어 있는 MAP상 압력차이에 Gap이 크게 나타나 발생됨.
BIT7 will be set when governor o/p is high during low idle.
이는 Low Idle 상태에서 governor의 출력이 기존 Set 값 이상일 경우 발생.

Boost Pressure Regulation : If a permanent boost pressure set point deviation is recognized and the engine
speed is above BPCO_N_BARB_CW, then the defect is set.
Engine Over speed : If the engine speed exceeds CMOL_N_MAX_CW, BIT0 is set indicating an engine
over speed.
Over speed시 발생되는 fault 표시임. Over speed는 DL08 2800rpm이상 경우 발생.

BIT 5 4 3 2
BIT2: After the ignition key is switched OFF, a test is done in STSP to detect a decrease in engine speed.
If the engine speed doesn’t decrease that means the test was not successful and NO_SIGNAL defect bit is set.
시동을 끝때 After run 과정중 Fault check함. 이때 엔진 회전수가 정상적인 속도로 감소되어 감지되어야 하나,
그렇지 않고 감속도가 매우 느리거나, 감소되지 않을 경우 No signal로 인식함.
BIT3: The watchdog of the CY310 checks the function of the microprocessor with a question/answer routine
and switches off the power stages in the event of a malfunction of the microprocessor. If a failure is
recognised the monitoring module disables the injectors power stages and so no further fuel injections can be
executed. STSP tries to schedule fuel injections on all cylinders. If the CY220 detects an injection although
the power stages are disabled NOT_PLAUSIBLE bit is set.
BIT4: The internal supply voltage VCC of the microprocessor is controlled in its range by an internal voltage
check of the CY360. If the supply voltage overshoots a certain voltage range, the monitoring module
generates an output signal that leads to disable the power stages. STSP tries to schedule fuel injections on
all cylinders. If the CY220 detects an injection although the power stages are disabled SRC_PSUMAX bit is set.
ECU내 과도 전압이 공급되었을 경우 자동으로 Power off시킴. 이때 발생 [32V이상]

BIT2: This bit is set if Short to Ground or Open line or Short to UBAT is detected during static sensor test.

센서가 역전되어 있을 경우
CAM 경우 두개의 신호 검증체계를 가지고 있음. APS (Angle based phase system), TPS (time base phase
system)
이들이 각 신호의 base를 over하였을 경우 발생
Crank 경우 Signal인식에 있어서 Noise가 많아 불안정해 질때 발생
엔진 회전수 fault는 CAM signal 인식 불량, 이로 인한 meta값 불량등에 의해 발생 정상경우 Meta는 10
인식되어야 함.

Recovery:BIT0 or BIT6 is set if the total number of recoveries exceeds an internal threshold.
• The difference between ASW engine speed and Redundant engine speed exceeds a threshold.
BIT6: Set if the PRV didn’t not open after pressure shock. This bit will be cleared only after ECU reset.
Rail의 Pressure relief valve가 완전히 열리지 않았으나, 과도 압력을 인식토록 하는 fault
BIT7: Set if PRV was recognized as OPEN. If only this bit is set , then the PRV has been opened by means of
kickoff from fuel pressure controller. This bit will be cleared only after ECU reset.
Rail의 Pressure relief valve가 완전히 열림.
