Topic: Using technology in classroom brings more benefits than disadvantages to students.

Nowadays, technology is developing at a ridiculous pace. From fire to masonry and

masonry to smartphones, no doubt that technology is making our life easier than before.
Today, technology is starting to make its way into education. An online education company,
K-12 have been taking in a lot of students every year, and so far they have about 1 million
students taking their course. Plus, a lot of schools in the US have also used K-12 in order to
“give the students an opportunity to learn without limitation ” which is said by the principal of
Branson Public Schools. Whether we like it or not, people are starting to use technology in
classrooms and ever since it’s starting to be a global trend. In my opinion, I agree that this
trend will be used by the majority of the school in the future as it brings more benefits to
students. The three pros that convinced me to make such claim are it’s highly efficient,
technology makes students more engaged in the classroom, and it provides students with
unlimited access to information around the globe.

First and foremost, technology within education is no doubt one of the innovations that
we cannot ignore, as it increases the efficiency not only to students but to teachers as well in
their everyday school life. The biggest pro in technology is that its speed to complete a certain
action is beyond what a human is able to, the most common computer is the calculator, and
this tool well represents this supporting detail as its functions surely had surpassed a normal
human’s ability, that is why nowadays technology is needed even in a classroom as it can
increase the efficiency in overall aspects. For instance, students can complete their
schoolwork on a computer and this allows them more time to complete it even at home as
they can simply hand it in online, other than that teachers can upload their slides online and
share it to students before class, students will have the chance to go through it and have a
picture of what they are going to learn next , and they will even have this as reference after
class if they could not keep up in class. Students in our school often face an issue and that is
they are too busy copying teacher’s note and could not focus on what the teacher is teaching
in class, with individual computers or smartphones, students can pay more attention in class
rather than just copying. Technology in classrooms does show a lot of advantages in the field
of efficiency, therefore to increase efficiency among the daily life of students and teacher,
technology in classroom is needed.

Furthermore, technology in classrooms attracts students to be more engaged in

learning as technology displays more options meaning different subjects and students are
easily satisfied by the immediate feedback from technology. Technology motivates students
and raises students’ self-esteem as students are more willing to learn through technology
which brings forth greater experience comparing to teachers who teach in class. Besides,
students are provided with a sense of achievement or accomplishment and power gained in
working with technology. A great example was a boy who was academically unsuccessful
engaged in a musical application, and this changed his life as the boy started putting hard
effort and the end result was a music piece. This could mean the world to a boy who was
unsuccessful in academic results as a new path was paved, an unknown talent or potential
uncovered.This greatly boosts self-esteem and sense of accomplishment of a student and
indirectly motivates students to continue learning and innovating.Based on the assets cited,
we could safely assume that technology in classrooms presents boundless benefits.
 Last but not least, technology grant students to have unlimited access to information
around the globe. Without the great invention of the internet, students would not be able to
access a wide variety of information around the orb.For example, students can gain knowledge
of other cultures from the Internet.In addition, virtual learning is one of the most trending
learning tools.It provides students to have a virtual real-life experience in that particular
situation without stepping in that country. For instance, we can learn the geographic features
of another country better with the help of virtual learning.Furthermore, we can earn information
outside of the books, such as the internet can assist us in learning a new language that is not
in the scope of the lesson.Schools throughout the nation are diverse in income. Therefore,
some school does nothing to feed the hunger of students. By the existence of technology can
benefits student by letting them be more accessible to information around the globe.

In conclusion, technology in classrooms brings more benefits to students by attracting

students to be more engaged in learning, making it easier for students to complete daily tasks
and having unlimited access around the globe. It motivates students and raises their self-
esteem, accessible via smart gadgets therefore not needing any books and most importantly,
students have all the information they need on the internet. Technology may not make such a
strong impact on schools now but it’s just a matter of time before every school exist become
like K-12.
